Ivana Trump claims ex-husband Donald 'is not a good loser', but says he should 'enjoy his life' after elections
President Donald Trump's first wife Ivana Trump revealed that her ex-husband is "not a good loser" and that she wants "this whole thing to be over with" despite the final election results. But that is certainly not what Trump is thinking, on Saturday, November 8, when the news networks called the race in favor of his rival Joe Biden, he blasted the media saying 'the race is far from over'.
Now, 71-year-old Ivana Trump who had been married to Trump between 1977 and 1992 spoke to People on Monday, November 9, and said: "He doesn’t like to lose, so he’s going to fight and fight and fight." Trump, 74, has not yet conceded even though several media outlets have declared Biden as Presidential-elect and in the meanwhile has also repeatedly claimed, without evidence, that the election was stolen from him.
Ivana shared, "He’s not a good loser." She added that Trump needs to accept that the final election results even if he has lost and try and move on with his life. She continued, "He has to go and declare that he lost. But he hates to be a loser, that I’m sure of. But if he loses, he loses. He has plenty of money, places to go and live in and enjoy his life," she shared. Ivana also believes that her former husband is done with his political career though he has reportedly spoken of running for POTUS again in 2024.
Ivana said, "I don’t think he has a choice. He’s going to go down to Palm Beach and play golf and live the normal life, I think. This is the best choice for what he can do." While speaking about Trump's failed reelection bid, Ivana said, "I really don’t care."
"I just want this whole thing to be over with, one way or the other," she shared. She also added that her three children- Donald Trump Jr, Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump are 'fine'. Ivanka served as a senior White House adviser, while Trump Jr, and Eric ran their father's real estate business and campaigned for his reelection.
Ivana said, "I think they enjoyed being around Donald and running the election and seeing what will happen, but now it is—thank god—over." She also spoke about what her children will do next but wants them to enjoy a life outside of politics. "I just want them to be able to live their normal lives—normal lives. Not the Washington life and all that, just in New York or wherever they’re going to be and just live their normal lives," she added.
In the rallies which led up to the election, Trump said that he would never return to the crucial states if he lost to Biden and he would consider leaving the country. While speaking to the supporters at a rally in September and said, "If I lose to him, I don’t know what I’m going to do. I will never speak to you again. You’ll never see me again."
We had earlier reported that Melania Trump has not yet called Jill Biden and seems to be following in her husband's footsteps about how to deal with her successor. POTUS Trump has not yet conceded to President-elect Joe Biden and has made unsubstantiated claims about voter fraud without producing any evidence to back up the claims. He has also filed lawsuits in several states where he believes he has been wronged.
