LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The extraordinary saga of the Roy family concluded with an epic series finale that was filled with brilliant dramatic sequences, humor, and betrayals. In the opening few minutes of the ‘Succession’ finale, we saw the Roy siblings – Kendall, Shiv, and Roy – having an argument about who should be the next CEO of Waystar Royco. However, as soon as Shiv gets to know that Mattson would betray her, she and Roman extended their support to Kendall and they reunite to save the company. After having a lovely dinner, all three siblings get together to have a fun night and celebrate Kendall’s massive achievement. But it seems, Jeremy Strong took the celebrations to a whole new level and drank the “gross” smoothie that was prepared by the Roy siblings.

It doesn’t come as a shock that Jeremy drank that smoothie and went to great lengths for his iconic role as Kendall on the blockbuster HBO show.

Speaking about the disgusting drink on HBO’s official ‘Succession’ podcast, the 44-year-old actor revealed that he actually drank the blended smoothie because he wanted to show what kind of a person Kendall is. The actor also joked that he had to jump into the ocean to wash the drink off his hair.

Strong 'jumped' into the ocean to wash the drink off

“We did it only a few times, and I went outside and retched and jumped in the ocean and washed it off my hair. And yeah, I did drink it. I wouldn't know how not to drink it. He wants it that badly that he's gonna drink whatever that is, right, but it was disgusting,” Strong said during the podcast.

For the uninitiated, the Roy siblings were having dinner with their mother when Kendall gets a phone call about how Mattson is going to betray Shiv. As soon as Shiv gets to know about it, she and Roman extend their support to Kendall to become the new CEO of Waystar Royco. To celebrate this monumental feat, all three Roy siblings get together and make a meal that is fit for a king. It was being prepared by Shiv at their mother’s home in Barbados. The ingredients included in the drink were milk, bread crusts, raw eggs, expired pickles, Tabasco hot sauce, cocoa powder, and SHIV’S SPIT.

The scene ended with Roman pouring the remaining part of the drink on Kendall’s head.

Did Kendall end up being the new CEO?

This celebration didn’t turn out to be too well for Kendall and he ended up losing his claim to the throne. Everything was going smoothly till the time Shiv realized that Kendall was not fit enough to lead the company. In the end, Shiv betrayed Kendall and moved ahead with the deal. The episode ended with Tom Wambsgans (Matthew MacFadyen) becoming the new CEO of the company while all three Roy siblings moved away from each other.

As of now, there are no plans for a ‘Succession’ spin-off, but you never know, HBO might have some ideas to bring this franchise back on the small screens.
