LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Shazam! Fury of the Gods' is here with a brand-new poster that features Zachary Levi's Shazam, Lucy Liu’s Kalypso, Helen Mirren’s Hespera, and Rachel Zegler’s Anthea.  The sequel to the beloved 2019's 'Shazam!,' based on the DC Comics hero of the same name and once again directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi, will see the Shazam Family facing off against the daughters of Atlas. It is produced by New Line Cinema, DC Studios, the Safran Company, and Seven Bucks Productions, and set for distribution by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Furthermore, according to recent reports, Levi compared his DCU character with Marvel's 'Deadpool' character played by Ryan Reynolds. According to Levi, however, Shazam holds a very important spot in the DC cinematic universe. "I love that we get to be the most subversive of all the DC characters, almost like the Deadpool of DC," he adds. "Deadpool gets to sit outside of it and comment on it all and have fun with it all – obviously in a more R-rated, mature way. We do the same thing, just a little more family-friendly!"

'OH. MY. GODS!'

The official Twitter page of Discussing Film shared the new poster. It has Levi’s Shazam and Djimon Hounsou’s heroic Wizard surrounded by the villainous daughters of Atlas comprised of Lucy Liu’s Kalypso, Helen Mirren’s Hespera, and Rachel Zegler’s Anthea. Under them are the rest of the Shazam Family featuring Grace Caroline Currey’s Mary, Meagan Good’s Darla, Ross Butler’s Eugene, D. J. Cotrona’s Pedro, and Adam Brody’s Freddy on top of the remains of a battlefield.

'This movie and its inability to serve needs to be studied'

Fans recoiled after the poster was dropped. While some say, this movie should have been shelved with 'Batgirl,' others want to "wait it out to see how the movie tanks". A fan said, "There is no point to watch this movie. They should’ve canceled this movie as well, when they canceled Batgirl," while another writes, "It’s amazing how there is not one thing about this movie that makes me want to see it." A fan shared, "Looking forward to see how badly this tanks." A fan tweeted, "This movie and its inability to serve needs to be studied," while another added, "It keeps getting worse bruh."
