What does ISTG mean on TikTok?

ISTG is an abbreviation commonly used to represent the phrase "I Swear To God." This acronym serves to emphasize a point being made and can convey anger or annoyance. It bears resemblance to another acronym, "ONG," which stands for "On God."

Typically, ISTG is placed at the beginning or end of sentences. For instance, someone might say, "ISTG I can't take him anywhere," which essentially means "I swear to God I can't take him anywhere."

Initially, some individuals mistakenly believed ISTG referred to Instagram, so there is a possibility of encountering it in that context. However, the prevailing and more common usage of ISTG is as an abbreviation for "I swear to God."

What does AMOS mean on TikTok?

AMOS, on the other hand, stands for "Add Me On Snapchat." If you didn't know already, Snapchat is a multimedia instant messaging application that enables users to send disappearing messages and photos, among other features.

Snapchat is often considered a more convenient platform for communication compared to TikTok's internal direct messaging system. Therefore, when individuals on TikTok wish to make new friends, they may write AMOS to encourage others to contact them through Snapchat. Typically, people will display AMOS alongside their Snapchat username, making it easier to add them. Alternatively, their Snapchat username may be mentioned in their bio.

How are ISTG and AMOS used?

A TikTok user wrote, "istg ill always protect u:)" Another wrote, "I swear to god, i never leave you." A user's response to AMOS was, "Added u and left on delivered for 10h smh." Another replied, "ayo snap?"
