Is Matt Gaetz hitting on Tiffany Trump? Reaction to her Instagram post has internet rolling

Gaetz retweeted a picture of Tiffany that she had posted on her Twitter page with emojis like flame, love, heart-eyes, and thumbs-up

Republican Rep Matt Gaetz of Florida has been branded "creepy" on social media after he appeared to hit on Tiffany Trump, President Donald Trump's younger daughter. Incidentally, Tiffany is 11 years younger to Gaetz. A lawyer and politician serving as a representative for Florida's 1st congressional district since 2017, Gaetz retweeted a picture of Tiffany that she had posted on her Instagram as well as Twitter pages with emojis like flame, love, heart-eyes, and thumbs-up. In the photo, Tiffany posed in a red pantsuit in a well-decorated corridor.

Although Gaetz did not use any words for the retweet, a number of people deduced it to mean that his intention was to flirt with Tiffany which they pointed out was inappropriate since she was the daughter of the POTUS and the leader of his party. "Does this feel like a classy thing to be doing on the internet?" one said while another wrote, "The way this horny mf is my state's representative I'm down bad". A third commented, "OMG. I know it's hard for you but can you at least pretend you're a U.S. Congressman. #CreepyAF"

Someone else wrote, "The dude's been hitting the sauce again." The next quipped, "Do you ever get bored with embarrassing yourself Matt? Maybe go one whole day without doing it to see if you enjoy the change." Another remarked, "Maybe she Will go to the prom with you!"

Some of the users also used the opportunity to dredge up Gaetz's controversial relationship with a 19-year-old immigrant from Cuba, Nestor Galbán. Following an argument with fellow congressman Cedric Richmond, in June 2020, Gaetz said he had been living with Galbán and since the latter was aged 12, considered him to be his son. He later clarified that Galbán was the brother of one of his ex-girlfriends and spends time with his sister, and family. Gaetz said, "our relationship as a family is defined by our love for each other, not by any paperwork," and it was reported that they were not genetically related.

Alluding to the rep's relationship with his so-called son, one user wrote, "My God, Rick... think of little Nestor seeing this! What about the children!!???" Another said, "For all those wondering, this is my son Nestor. We share no blood but he is my life. He came from Cuba (legally, of course) six years ago and lives with me in Florida. I am so proud of him and raising him has been the best, most rewarding thing I’ve done in my life." A third wrote, "My god Rick, she is only a few years older than your son. Stop tucking your shirt in." The next commented, "Matt please, Nestor might see this." Another asked, "Sir what kind of horny example is this to set for your son."

Meanwhile, Tiffany has been dating billionaire boyfriend Michael Boulos for a year now. The duo met while vacationing in Greece with Lindsay Lohan in July, 2018. But Lohan swears she didn't play matchmaker, telling People, "I wasn't there when they met. I know him… and I know her… but I don't know what happened."
