'Is It Cake?' Season 3: Emma Hernan and Lana Condor snap at Justin Willman as he gets fooled by Timmy Norman
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Timmy Norman was one of eight people who appeared in the third season of the Netflix series, 'Is It Cake?'.
He didn't get his first win until the show's semifinal, but it came at the price of guest judge Justin Willman's gaffe, which resulted in him being screamed at by his other judges, 'Selling Sunset' star Emma Hernan and 'To All the Boys I've Loved Before' star Lana Condor.
Episode 7 focused on all the semi-finalists, and Timmy had an excellent performance, ensuring that he was one of the three bakers whose creations passed with flying colors in front of the judges, advancing him to the finals.
Justin was persuaded that the third display was one of Timmy's designs. He described it as "kinda sloped out a little bit."
Fellow judges Emma and Lana were persuaded that Number 2 had "no reflection. Could be cake."
While Justin wasn't sure if Number 3 would "be a good spyglass," Lana and Emma both yelled for him to press Number 2. Amidst the chaos, the magician presses Number 3.
With a divided panel, Justin said he didn't panic and was convinced he'd made the proper decision. Lana and Emma both stated that they disagreed with the choice and would not stand by it.
With that, Justin broke their record, as the trio were 2-2 with their earlier guesses.
Timmy transported the judges to the Caribbean with a coconut cake soaked in rum and simple syrup, an orange curd filling, a grenadine buttercream, and candied almonds with freeze-dried pineapple.
In the end, he was declared the episode's winning baker and won $5,000 despite losing the Cake or Cash round.
