'Sunset Selling', Netflix's drama-driven realtor-based reality show is all about sass, money, and the history of relationships. It revolves around a group of brokers that try and compete with each other to sell some of LA's top houses worth millions. The original synopsis of the show says: "The elite agents at The Oppenheim Group sell the luxe life to affluent buyers in LA. Relationships are everything, and that often means major drama."

While we eagerly wait for the show to air, let's take a look at one of its newest members Emma Hernan, who is geared up to add a little spice and glamor to the reality show.

'Selling Sunset' Season 5: 5 things you need to know about Netflix's reality show

Who is Emma Hernan?

Emma Hernan is a former model and a food industry CEO from Scituate, Massachusetts. She moved to Los Angeles in her teens to pursue modeling and has lived there ever since. She is the CEO of Emma-Leigh & Co, a food company famous for its plant-based empanadas in partnership with Beyond Meat.

In a recent interview, she stated "I think it's so important, especially as a woman, to just have so many different streams of revenue... I started out back in Boston, modeling, babysitting, working ice cream shops—I mean, you name it."

Her Role in 'Selling Sunset'

Hernan will be one of the realtors working on the show to square off against other ladies and sell some million-dollar homes. Besides Hernan, the show has another new addition - former soap opera star Vanessa Villela. Hernan is the closest with Mary Fitzgerald and Chrishell Stause in the show, although she admits to being friends with all the girls. The former model told People that she became close with Mary after meeting her through the Oppenheim twins. She also opened up to Women's Health about her friendship with Chrishell. "Me and Chrishell really really bonded," she said. She has also confessed she is on the show to instill confidence in young minds, along with the thought that anything can be accomplished, all the while having fun doing what one loves to do.

Season 5 of the reality show will hit screens on Friday, April 22, exclusively on Netflix!
