MADRID, SPAIN: 'See You in Another Life', the latest Spanish series based on true events, is making buzz among European viewers.

It is adapted from Manuel Jabois’ book 'Nos vemos en esta vida o en la otra' (We’ll Meet in This Life or the Next) which extensively documents his interview with one of the perpetrators.

Alberto Sanchez-Cabezudo and Jorge Sanchez-Cabezudo, creators of the series, have put together an ensemble cast comprising Pol Lopez, Roberto Gutiérrez, and Tamara Casellas amongst others. It released in Spain on March 6, 2024, on Disney+.

On March 11, 2004, a sequence of coordinated bombings targeted Madrid's commuter train system, sending shockwaves across the globe.

The tragic event resulted in the loss of 191 lives and left more than 1800 people injured. The beautiful city of Spain came to a sudden halt, in what is still considered the largest terrorist attack perpetrated on European soil.

As per a report from the Combating Terrorism Center, the attackers responsible for planning and executing the bombings belonged to various groups and organizations, yet they were united by a shared "jihadist ideology".

As mentioned earlier, the series is adapted from Manuel Jabois’ interview book where he documented his conversation with Gabriel Montoya Vidal (aka Baby) in 2014.

Baby, aged 16, along with Emilio Trashorras were accused of transporting explosives. Baby's testimony played a crucial role in the 2007 trial linked to the attacks.

In the interview, Baby recounted his role in the deadly terrorist attack on European soil in March 2004.

The series, originally made in Spanish, consists of six episodes with an average runtime of 35 minutes. The biographical drama series explores the radical mindset behind planning and executing the deadly attacks.
