Is Blair Featherman lying? TikToker denies claims pool rant video was edited
LAKEWOOD, COLORADO: A woman, who released a video of a White woman allegedly spewing racist rants at a Latino group, has maintained that she’s not lying and did not edit the footage to make the perpetrator look bad. A person who witnessed the alleged incident has also reportedly supported Jada Gallardo’s version, claiming Blair Featherman was at fault.
Gallardo told The New York Post that the incident happened at the Alta Green Mountain complex’s pool around the Fourth of July weekend when the 49-year-old Featherman suddenly lost her temper. About the now-viral video, the social media user said, “The footage is little bits and pieces of her screaming and yelling, but all the videos include Ms. Featherman acting belligerently crazy.”
‘A lot of people were getting mad’
Referring to Featherman’s rant, Gallardo continued, “She said we don’t know what Hermés sandals are. I said, ‘I’m wearing Hermes sandals! Just because [of] our skin tone we don’t know what an expensive designer is?’ She was screaming, ‘Low-class Mexicans!’ … A lot of people were getting mad.”
Gallardo said Featherman was the one to approach and talk to her and her boyfriend first. She reportedly shared, “[Featherman] asked if we had a key fob. I said ‘I live here.’” But Featherman allegedly did not stop and went on to tell them, “I need to check your key fob because I work here and a lot of people have been coming in that don’t belong here.”
Another woman named Rangel-Olmedo backed Gallardo’s account as she recalled, “[Featherman] kept saying ‘trash.’ … One father took his two daughters back home because he didn’t want them to hear the things that she was saying.” And, Gallardo added, “[Featherman] should not be able to live [in the complex] after what happened. The little kids were sitting right next to her. How would she like it if someone was acting like that in front of her kids?”
‘I couldn't believe what just happened’
This comes as earlier Featherman claimed she was innocent as she had been provoked. She said, “I have been trying to stay silent and not comment about this, but there are things the video doesn’t show. I’m not a racist. It was deceptively edited and put together to tell a narrative that isn’t true.”
The art consultant also stated that her apparent accusers were the ones who actually harassed her. She added, “They were calling me white b***h and white this and white that. I was already having a bad day but this was too much. I couldn't believe what just happened, my heart was racing, and I was so full of adrenaline. I couldn't think straight.”
