Is Andrew Tate hospitalized?
A Romanian news outlet reported that either Tate or his brother Tristan had been hospitalized after a routine medical check-up that they have since returning to custody. The doctors involved were informed of a pre-existing medical condition that resulted in a consultation at a hospital in Bucharest. Tate's Twitter updates suggested it was him who was hospitalized. "The Matrix has attacked me. But they misunderstand, you cannot kill an idea. Hard to Kill," the influencer tweeted on January 8, alongside a screengrab and a link to the aforementioned Romanian article.

It's worth noting that Tate often references the 1999 blockbuster 'The Matrix' starring Keanu Reeves. During his initial arrest in December 2022, he claimed that "The Matrix had sent their agents."
However, Tate's Twitter account has been quite active despite his incarceration. His account includes a link to his website CobraTate.com alongside the message, "Escape the Matrix."
This comes after four more luxury cars were seized by Romanian authorities earlier this week as part of their investigation into the social media personalities. Ramona Bolla, a spokesperson for Romanian anti-organized-crime agency DIICOTs, revealed that prosecutors probing the case seized the additional vehicles along with 11 others seized in raids earlier. She said at least seven of the impounded vehicles were registered to Tate and his brother Tristan, who was detained last week in the same case. Some of the vehicles are reportedly limited editions worth $300,000.

This is not unexpected. The court will determine whether those cars were acquired through money generated by the purported crimes.

According to Bolla, more than 10 properties owned by companies registered to the Tate brothers also had been seized in the investigation thus far. The Daily Mail reported that the exclusive car collection includes a Rolls-Royce Wraith from the carmaker's Black Badge range and an Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate, which have both featured in videos posted online by Tate. Along with the brothers, two other female suspects, namely Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu, were also taken into custody in Bucharest on December 29 on suspicion of human trafficking, rape and forming an organized crime group. The group has vehemently denied the allegations. Tate's representative Avocat Vidineac Eugen Constantin said they were preparing to appeal the judge's decision.

In a recent statement, DIICOTs said that it had identified six survivors who were subjected to "acts of physical violence and mental coercion" as well as sexual exploitation by group members. The agency clarified that two British citizens in the case lured victims under the pretense of love, followed by intimidation, constant surveillance among other control tactics so they would perform pornographic acts intended to reap "important financial benefits." Bolla said that all four suspects were slated to appear in a Bucharest court next week to have their appeals heard against a judge's decision last week to extend their arrest warrants from 24 hours to 30 days. Meanwhile, the Tate brothers will also appear in court to appeal the seizure of their belongings, according to the Daily Mail.
