Adam Levine's return confirm major 'The Voice' Season 30 update — here's everything we know so far
'The Voice' Season 29 wrapped up with its intense finale on Tuesday, and there's already some good news in store for fans. One of the coaches, Adam Levine, announced his return for the upcoming Season 30. According to PEOPLE, Levine revealed his return in an exclusive interview on Tuesday, stating, “I will be back.” He added that he had been having so much fun as a judge on the singing competition. “I’m having so much fun doing it. Since I came back a few seasons ago it’s just been a blast and I’m super happy to keep it going as long as they’ll have me,” he said. Along with that, NBC also shared the latest update via Instagram on Wednesday, stating, “The champion returns. Adam Levine will be returning for season 30 as a Coach!”
With that, ‘The Voice’ Season 30 officially has Adam Levine as one of the judges. However, NBC has yet to announce the remaining judges. The upcoming season will be Levine’s 19th overall season with NBC’s singing competition. He had been serving as the judge since the show’s debut season through Season 16. After 16 years, he stepped down in May 2019. After a 6-year hiatus, he returned for Season 27, but was not part of the show for Season 28. For the recently concluded Season 29, Levine was one of the judges alongside John Legend and Kelly Clarkson.
Further in his exclusive interview, he noted that his return since Season 27 had been because of the stars that had “aligned.” “It was one of those moments when we started talking about it and it felt right…and it hadn’t felt right until now,” he added. Additionally, Levine noted that after being there for over nine years, he started to get “burnt.” “Doing it for so long, so consistently, for almost eight or nine years of my life, you can definitely start to get burnt. I did it for this really long period of time, so I started to feel like I was kind of getting away from things that matter to me the most, like making music and playing music,” he revealed.
The news of his return was revealed after ‘The Voice’ Season 29 winner Alexia Jayy was crowned as the winner. As fans already know, each coach on the show has a team of artists who deliver various performances. The current winner belonged to Levine’s team. Before that, his team won during Season 1 (winner Javier Colon), Season 5 (winner Tessanne Chin), and Season 9 (winner Jordan Smith). It would be exciting to see which returning judges will be judging the singing competition in the upcoming season. Along with that, fans must also be excited to see ‘The Voice’ host Carson Daly return for the show’s Season 30. Seeing the previously released season’s release, ‘The Voice’ Season 30 is scheduled to be released in Fall 2026.
