MOSCOW, IDAHO: Bryan Christopher Kohberger, the suspect in slaying four University of Idaho students, has been taken into custody and is being questioned by authorities. The 28-year-old is being detained on suspicion of killing Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves.

Recently, Judge Jeanine Pirro, the co-host of 'The Five', unveiled crucial details about the Idaho murder case. Sources told Judge Jeanine Pirro of Fox News that "genealogical DNA" evidence played at least some role in the arrest of the guy being held in connection with the murders of four college students in Idaho.

END OF THE INVESTIGATION? Internet worries probe is over as 'cleaning crews' seen at Idaho murder house

Judge Jeanine Pirro said, "[M]y sources are telling me that there is genealogical DNA that was established in this case that led the police to this particular suspect," Pirro said on 'The Five' Friday.

"So although that was, according to my sources who are very credible and reliable, …. if you try murder cases and especially murder cases that involve several victims, you understand that really the investigation begins now," as reported by Fox News.

Jeanine Pirro further added, "So CODIS can give us that 30% solving of cases. But this genealogical DNA can give us a 90% chance of solving these cases. So in addition to what will be unequivocal evidence, they're going to have all kinds of circumstantial evidence in addition to that evidence, which we will see when the affidavit is unsealed."

On 'The Five', Pirro said investigators would likely look even deeper into Kohberger's background, as she stated, "The issue is, what did he say? Who did he hang out with? When he was in school did he talk about doing this kind of thing as a criminal justice major? He was interested in what the criminal was thinking when a criminal committed a violent crime. So there are all kinds of additional evidence that will be gathered at this point going forward," she said.

The probable cause affidavit for suspect Kohberger will be made public once he has been successfully extradited from Pennsylvania, where he was apprehended, to Idaho, according to Idaho authorities. Kohberger was taken into custody early on Friday from a  gated community adjacent to the Pocono Mountains settlement of Jonas, Pennsylvania. After being charged before a court in Monroe County, he is being kept in detention.

The suspect was a PhD candidate in criminal justice/criminology at Washington State University, which is near the University of Idaho, and had previously graduated from DeSales University in Allentown, as per reports.

Latah County prosecutor Bill Thompson said on Friday that the police are asking anyone with information on Kohberger to get in touch with them. As he said , "This is not the end of this investigation. In fact, this is a new beginning." He further added, "You all now know the name of the person who has been charged with these offenses, please get that information out there, please ask the public, anyone, who knows about this individual, to come forward," as reported by MEAWW.
