'Inventing Anna' is the latest series set to release that follows the story of real-life fraudster Anna Sorokin aka Anna Delvey, who tricked New York's wealthiest into investing under the guise of being a wealthy German heiress. The drama is led by the incredibly talented Julia Garner who is basking in the glory of 'Ozark' and will see her portray the con-woman. The official Netflix synopsis reads, "In 'Inventing Anna', a journalist with a lot to prove investigates the case of Anna Delvey, the Instagram-legendary German heiress who stole the hearts of New York’s social scene – and stole their money as well.  But is Anna New York’s biggest con woman or is she simply the new portrait of the American dream? Anna and the reporter form a dark, funny love-hate bond as Anna awaits trial and our reporter fights the clock to answer the biggest question in NYC: who is Anna Delvey?  The series is inspired by the New York Magazine article “How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People” by Jessica Pressler."

Julia Garner is an Emmy award-winning American actress. She started taking acting classes at age 15 as a means to overcome her shyness and went on to make her film debut at age 17 in Sean Durkin's 'Martha Marcy May Marlene'. Her works include 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower', 'The Last Exorcism Part II', 'The Assistant', 'The Get Down', 'Dirty John', 'Maniac' and more. Most recently she was seen in the award-winning Netflix series 'Ozark which won her critical acclaim for her role as Ruth Langmore. Making a return on Netflix she will essay the main role of Anna Delvey, the fraudster who tricked New York's wealthiest.
 



 

The rest of the cast consists of Anna Chlumsky as Vivian Kent, Laverne Cox as Kacy Duke, Katie Lowes as Rachel, Anders Holm as Jack Mercer, Arian Moayed as Todd Spodek, Alexis Floyd as Neff Davis, Jeff Perry as Lou, Anna Deavere Smith as Maud and Terry Kinney as Barry.
