Season 5 of Netflix 'Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon's Judgement' will see the return of Erika Harlacher, Cristina Wee and Ben Diskin

The Seven Deadly Sins’ is back with Season 5 and fans cannot wait to see their favorite anime characters back on screen. Based on the manga series written and illustrated by Nakaba Suzuki, the anime adaptation revolves around the group of knights called ‘The Seven Deadly Knights’ who disbanded after they supposedly plotted to overthrow the Liones Kingdom.

It was believed that they died in their last battle, but rumors continued to persist that they were still alive. Ten years later, the Holy Knights staged a coup d'état and captured the king, becoming the new, tyrannical rulers of the kingdom. The third princess, Elizabeth, then starts out on a journey to find the Seven Deadly Sins and enlist their help in taking back the kingdom.

The previous season ended with Meliodas (Bryce Papenbrook) beginning the process of transforming into the Demon King. Ban (Tatsuhisa Suzuki) is also down in Purgatory and looking for Meliodas. The clock is ticking and Ban needs to find Meliodas before he becomes the new Demon King and his emotions are destroyed in Purgatory.

Papenbrook and Suzuki will be once again voicing the characters of Meliodas and Ban while all the original voice cast will also return. Let’s take a look at the cast of ‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Dragon’s Judgement’.

Cast

Bryce Papenbrook as Meliodas

Born on February 24, 1986, Papenbrook is the son of voice actors Debbie Rothstein and Bob Papenbrook. He started his career in 2000 and voiced the character of Vash the Stampede in the popular anime series ‘Trigun’. After a long gap of three years, he got a chance to be a part of ‘Genma Wars: Eve of Mythology Chapter’. In the coming years, he would go on to establish himself as one of the most talented voice actors in the industry.



 

Apart from doing anime series, he forayed into the world of video games and became a part of games such as ‘Radiata Stories’, ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’, ‘Pac-Man’, ‘Final Fantasy’ and ‘Pokemon’ among others.

Papenbrook is best known for his portrayals of Kirito in ‘Sword Art Online’, Eren Jaeger in ‘Attack on Titan’, Inosuke in ‘Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba’, Rin Okumura in ‘Blue Exorcist’, Gallows in ‘Dagon: Troll World Chronicles’, Masaomi Kida in ‘Durarara!!’ series, Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli in ‘JoJo's Bizarre Adventure’, Shirou Emiya in ‘Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works’, Meliodas & Zeldris in ‘The Seven Deadly Sins’, Red in ‘Pokémon Origins’, Kaito in ‘Ajin: Demi-Human’, and Makoto Naegi and Nagito Komaeda in the ‘Danganronpa’ series.

Erika Harlacher as Elizabeth Liones

Erika Harlacher is one of the prominent names in the entertainment industry and has given her voice to a lot of iconic characters. Her first big voice-over role was for the ‘Battleship’ video game, based on the 2012 movie of the same name, where she got to voice the main character, Grace Harland, among many veteran voice actors. In 2015, Harlacher voiced Mimori Togo in ‘Yuki Yuna is a Hero’, one of the main characters who are called in to save their world by having a conversation in an alternate dimension where they have magical abilities.



 

Apart from these roles, Harlacher has been a part of projects such as ‘Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic’, ‘You Lie in April’, ‘Dragon Ball Super’, ‘A Whisker Away’, ‘Persona 5’, ‘Genshin Impact’ and ‘Final Fantasy’.

Cristina Vee as Hawk

Born on July 11, 1987, Cristina Danielle Valenzuela is known for providing voices for English dubs of anime, animation and video games. In her childhood, she always dreamt of becoming an animator, but after watching ‘Sailor Moon’, she was inspired to go into voice acting. Her first major role was Kanaria in ‘Rozen Maiden’.



 

In 2008, she worked on three projects simultaneously and voiced the title character in ‘Aika R-16: Virgin Mission’, Louise in ‘The Familiar of Zero’, and Nanoha in ‘Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha’. Apart from voice acting, Vee has also been a part of various animation projects. In 2012, Vee was involved in voice casting and directing the ‘Skullgirls’ video game and web series. The game was nominated at the 40th Annie Awards. She also directed and produced the voices for the video game ‘Indivisible’ which was crowdfunded with a total amount of $1.5M on December 2, 2015.

Ben Diskin as Ban

Diskin started his professional career as a child actor and won the Outstanding Young Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture Young Artist Award for his role as Sylvester in the movie ‘Kindergarten Cop’. Diskin is best known for providing his voice in ventures such as ‘Hey! Arnold’, ‘Codename: Kids Next Door’, ‘The Spectacular Spider-Man’, ‘Sailor Moon’, ‘Digimon Fusion’ and ‘Muppet Babies’. He won the Daytime Emmy accolade in the Outstanding Performer in a Preschool Animated Program for his role of Gonzo and Rizzo in ‘Muppet Babies’.



 

‘One-Punch Man’, ‘Boruto: Naruto Next Generations’, ‘Marvel Future Avengers’, ‘Star Wars: Rebels’ and ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch’ are some of the other projects that he has been a part of.
