Internet slams Morning Joe’s ‘awful panel’ after Joe Scarborough calls Donald Trump ‘cognitively impaired’

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: ‘Morning Joe’ host Joe Scarborough expressed his thoughts on Donald Trump’s latest speech in Washington DC.

However, Joe Scarborough was slammed on the internet after he claimed Trump confused Barack Obama and Joe Biden. 

On Monday, September 18, as the ‘Morning Joe’ panel returned on-air, Trump’s speech was dissected once again, and the internet isn’t too thrilled about it.

Morning Joe’s panel was labeled "awful" after Scarborough claimed the former President sounded "cognitively impaired."

‘Morning Joe’ panel calls Donald Trump 'cognitively impaired' 

‘Morning Joe’ hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough were joined on the panel with Jonathan Lemire, Richard Haas, and Katty Kay as they discussed Donald Trump’s speech in Washington DC. The segment started with a clip of Trump’s speech.

After Trump briefly mentioned Barack Obama, he talked about Joe Biden, “We have a man who is totally corrupt and the worst president in the history of our country.”

Trump continued, “He is cognitively impaired, in no condition to lead, and is now in charge of dealing with Russia and possible nuclear war. Just think of it. We would be in World War II very quickly.”

As soon as the clip stopped playing, Scarborough burst into a fit of laughter, “He says it so dramatically. He's got the music. It's almost like it's the summer of 1939 all over again, and, you know, his father's going to a Nazi rally or something, or a Klan rally. I don't know which rally he did or didn't go to.”

The focus however remained on Trump’s use of the words “cognitively impaired” as Scarborough said, “You'd think they may want to take out the cognitively impaired part of his speeches from now on.”

Lemire added, "That's an attack line the Republicans and Trump love to use, but, man, it does seem like he was looking in the mirror just there.”

Joe Scarborough replays Donald Trump’s clip

Scarborough asked to play the clip of Donald Trump once again on ‘Morning Joe’ and burst into laughter again as the clip ended.

Scarborough said, “I think the bigger issue here is when anybody under 75 looks at these videos, I'm dead serious here, neither of these men are in cognitive decline.”

He continued, “They're tired. They're old. They campaign, and at the end of the day, they start to lose words.”

Scarborough also compared Joe Biden and Trump, “They look at Joe Biden and say he's cognitively impaired. When you follow any Joe Biden press conference as far as actual facts, as far as actual policy, and policy prescriptions, and compare him to just about any other Donald Trump press conference, there's just no comparison.”

“Yes, I can play five minutes of tape that shows Donald Trump looking cognitively declined. I can do the same for Joe Biden,” continued Scarbough and then said, between the two, Trump “loses by a landslide every time.”

In addition to this report ‘Morning Joe’s official X account read, “Are Republicans going to keep talking about Joe Biden being cognitively impaired when Donald Trump sounds cognitively impaired every time he talks?"— @JoeNBC calls out Trump's meandering speech on Friday confusing Obama with Biden and warning of “WWII.”

Internet slams ‘Morning Joe’s report on Donald Trump

In response to the tweet, as well as the ‘Morning Joe’ panel report on Donald Trump, one person wrote, “Yes, and you will continue to discuss this with your awful panel, who will mention extremely flawed polling to argue their ridiculous claims.”

“Please show all of Biden’s Alzheimer’s moments please! Two hours of material!” wrote one user while another user simply said, “I disagree.”

The internet asked the ‘Morning Joe’ hosts to “just stop” as one user wrote, “Hey Joe, Mika….how about we do this….let’s hold both accountable for what they say…..Enough of the “He’s worse than our guy” stuff!  I am talking to both sides on this one. Just stop!!!!!!”

“Sounds right on par for how objectively you report the news. By the way, how are your ratings?” asked one user.
