MONROE COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA: Alleged Idaho murderer Bryan Kohberger appeared in court with scratches on his face, and social media wonders how the suspect got the injuries. In a brief court appearance, the criminology PhD student agreed to waive his right to a speedy trial for the case he is charged over slaying four students of the University of Idaho.
On Thursday, January 12, at 8 am, the 28-year-old accused killer dressed in an orange jail-issued t-shirt made his appearance for his murder case at the County Courthouse in Moscow. His attorney made a request to the court to set the preliminary hearing date for June and the judge has scheduled it for the first week of June 26, according to the Independent. The alleged murderer who killed the four University of Idaho students, Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Ethan Chapin, 20, and Xana Kernodle, 20, was denied bail in his first appearance in the Idaho court on January 5, Thursday.

"I'm guessing just from using lousy shaving razors. I'm not surprised this was set out till June. He wants his lawyers to have as much time as possible to prep for anything," someone tweeted.
Talking about his body language at the court appearance, one user wrote, "Not only were there scratches, his demeanor and body language definitely seemed different from last week." Another user remarked, "Those looked like moles on his face since he was arrested. Now they do look like scratches, especially if you have seen his face beforehand, there are no moles. Suss."
One user wrote, "If every inmate uses a cheap razor, why don’t they all come to court with a scratched up face and throat (which looks a little bruised, as well) like this defendant? Maybe he resisted, at some point?"
