MOSCOW, IDAHO: In the early hours of Friday, December 30, 28-year-old Bryan Kohberger was taken into custody and accused of killing four University of Idaho students as they slept. Since then, several of his childhood friends and neighbors gave their thought on the suspect and his violent behavior. Earlier, it was revealed that the PhD student from Washington State University planned to voluntarily return to Idaho to face the charges, waiving his right to an extradition hearing in the process.

One such childhood friend of Kohberger, whose name is Thomas told ABC7 Chicago that Kohberger used 'headlocks and arm bars' on him to appear dominant. "He would, like, grapple me and like, put me in headlocks and arm bars and stuff like that," Thomas remarked adding that he was so "mean." This new claim comes after another high school classmate of Kohberger revealed that he became aggressive while they studied together.

When their junior year came to an end, Kohberger was described by one of his high school classmates Mcloughlin as a "down to earth" and overweight teenager. However, he reportedly developed an "aggressive" personality when they entered their senior year. "He always wanted to fight somebody, he was bullying people. We started cutting him off from our friend group because he was 100% a different person," Mcloughlin told the New York Post. According to Moscow Police Chief James Fry, authorities think they have apprehended the person responsible for the horrific killings of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.

According to police, autopsies revealed that all four kids were asleep when they were attacked, some had defensive wounds, and there were no indications of sexual assault. Also, Kohberger's DNA was found in the Moscow residence adding that they have still not located the murder weapon. Kohberger was reportedly traced by Moscow PD and FBI using DNA recovered from the Idaho murder house. However, according to a statement from Kohberger's family, they will stand by him while also showing their sympathy for the victims' families.

The statement that was released by the Kohberger family read, "First and foremost we care deeply for the four families who have lost their precious children. There are no words that can adequately express the sadness we feel, and we pray each day for them. We will continue to let the legal process unfold and as a family, we will love and support our son and brother. We have fully cooperated with law enforcement agencies in an attempt to seek the truth and promote his presumption of innocence rather than judge unknown facts and make erroneous assumptions."
