Who are the Chuckling Squad? Internet erupts as Piers Morgan's Twitter is hacked
GUILDFORD, UNITED KINGDOM: The Twitter account of renowned British broadcaster and television personality, Piers Morgan, has been hacked. This was confirmed on Tuesday, December 27, after a series of posts were tweeted out from his account in a span of a few minutes using profanities, directed towards various celebrities and eminent personalities such as Ed Sheeran and Boris Johnson. "You ginger f**ker @edsheeran," the hacker abused the famous English singer in the tweet. While pointing at the former Prime Minister of Britain, the individual tweeted, "get a f**king haircut you ugly bum @BorisJohnson." The foul-mouthed troll also called for the 'territorial integrity' of Somalia in a number of posts.
Hacking has become a daily occurrence on this social media platform due to which many celebrities have suffered in the past and now Morgan has become its latest victim. Twitter has already received a lot of criticism from users for not coming up with a proper solution to fighting this problem. It soon became clear that the television personality's account had been hacked by a group identifying themselves as the 'chuckling squad'. Although it is not clearly known who they are, but from seeing the racial slur and slang-filled tweets, it would be safe to assume that the group is of no good. One tweet read, "Im too drunk sorry guys merry christmas you filthy animals and a happy new year you dirty c**ts." Morgan's Twitter account name was also changed to "Piers C**t" but it later got renamed to his original name.

One user opined, "Piers Morgan talks more sense (apart from the racial bits ) when he’s hacked than when it’s actually him" while another wrote, "It's safe to say that Piers Morgan's Twitter account was hacked. This screenshot is very mild compared to all the crazy vulgar and racist tweets that were on there. I think Kanye did this. I'm kidding of course."

One user wrote, "Someone hacked that hack @piersmorgan and shit they’re posting is hilarious. Most of it anyways. Could do without racial slurs for sure." "While you were asleep you missed nearly an hour of mayhem as @piersmorgan (8.3m followers) got hacked and tweeted loads of v v inappropriate content and appeared to start leaking his direct messages. So many questions about this incident. Let’s hope @elonmusk answers them," added another Twitter user.
