'Least deserving of all five': 'American Idol' 2023 fans fume as country singer Colin Stough advances to Top 3
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 21 Top 5 contestants jetted off to Disneyland to compete for a spot in the finale. The contestants delivered stirring performances in front of the judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and the live audience to advance to the Top 3.
We Ani and Zachariah Smith received fewer votes and ultimately got eliminated during the semi-finals. However, Megan Danielle, Iam Tongi, and Colin Stough advanced to the finale but fans on social media are not in favor of the results. The viewers suggest that Colin should have gone home.

Colin opted to perform 'Real Gone' from Disney's hit film 'Cars'. The judges praised the aspiring singer's performance. Luke said, "That's the most let loose have fun... great song choice." He added, "That was my favorite performance you've done." Lionel complimented, "The comfort zone was perfect. Your confidence was sitting right there." Meanwhile, Katy added, "You came out looking like an electric guitar. You took that risk. Keep doing it."
Colin chose 'Nobody Knows' from 'Pete's Dragon' for his second performance. Colin revealed during the episode that he was a big fan of Austin and Ally. The contestant also noted that he picked the song for its honesty. 'American Idol' mentor Sofia Carson helped Colin shape the performance dynamics. The judges were also impressed with Colin's second performance.
