The Cincinnati Reds have brought back Tejay Antone from the 10-day injured list before their match against the Milwaukee Brewers. However, in what is happened to be a punch in the gut to the Reds, Antone, on his first day back from the injured list, winced after throwing a curveball on his fifth pitch and had to call for a trainer. Antone was seen handing the ball to manager David Bell and walking back to the clubhouse, reports Cincinnati.com.

Antone was back in the Reds’ bullpen for the first time since June 24, 2021, sidelined for two months with a right forearm strain. He has made a total of seven appearances on a rehab assignment at Triple-A Louisville, making four hits and two runs in 6 2/3 innings while striking out 10 and walking three. He joined Michael Lorenzen and Mychal Givens as the Reds’ top late-inning options. “It’s tough in Triple-A when there is 1,000 people in the stands and the game doesn’t matter and then coming to a series where we’re facing the first-place team in our division and trying to win a playoff spot," Antone said before the match. "It will be a little tougher here but I’m excited. I’m excited to get after it.”
