Inside Christopher and Georgianne Walken’s 50 years of marriage that survived murder probe
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Unlike several Hollywood celebrities who do not shy away from getting divorced easily, Christopher and Georgianne Walken’s marriage is truly an example. The pair has been together for more than five decades, and their union has not been easy as they have faced many obstacles and issues, including a murder probe.
As per reports, Christopher and Georgianne met each other in the early 1960s during a tour of ‘West Side Story’. The 80-year-old apparently once said, “We loved each other right away.” In 1969, they exchanged vows, and since then, the duo has not left each other’s side.

‘I feel pretty good’
“Every once in a while — certainly not often — I'll be looking out the window, and I'll think, 'I feel pretty good. My bills are paid, my wife is healthy, and the weather's nice.' That's really all I care about: when, apropos of nothing, I happen to look out the window and think, 'This is good,’” ‘The Deer Hunter’ actor said as per PEOPLE.
Georgianne used to serve as a casting director, and her works include ‘The Sopranos’ and 'Entourage'. But she has also acted and played the character of Wendy Abramson in the 1983 movie ‘Brainstorm. For ‘The Sopranos’, the 79-year-old also won an Emmy in 1999.
‘I do like to work as much as I can because I don't have children’
While Christopher’s work includes films, like ‘Pulp Fiction,’ ‘Sleepy Hollow’, ‘Catch Me If You Can’, ‘Batman Returns’, and ‘Wedding Crashers’. The veteran actor is still in business but loves spending his time at home with Georgianne and their cats. The couple has no children. In an interview once, he reportedly said, “It was a different kind of part for me because I played many villains and in this movie, I was a father, a good person, the Secretary of the Treasury, which is unusual for me. Also, I don't have children, but I thought, what would I be like, if I had a beautiful daughter?”
The Academy Award-winning actor added, “I do like to work as much as I can because I don't have children, I don't have hobbies, I don't do anything else. And I'm glad that I don't have children. I have two brothers and they have plenty of children, they come to my house and I am always very glad when they leave. I have a wife, I've been married for thirty-five years, and I have some cats, but I can open the door and they go out, so it's quite nice.”
Besides, in 2013, Christopher told The Guardian, “I'm sure many of the kids I knew as a child would have continued in show business, but they had kids of their own, had to do something dependable. I didn't, so I could get by even in periods of unemployment.”
Apart from this, the ‘Click’ star revealed to Interview Magazine in 2016 that he still waits for a role in which he felt like himself. He said, “I play so many villains and strange, troubled people. I don’t have that kind of life. I live in the country. I’ve been married for nearly 50 years. I have a cat.”
Natalie Wood’s 1981 death
But as per reports, what actually tested Christopher and Georgianne’s union was the death of actress Natalie Wood in 1981. It has been said that Wood, at the age of 43, died while on board a yacht with her husband, Robert Wagner, and Christopher. Initially, her death was called an accident, but in 2011, it was reopened as a homicide probe.
Though Christopher was never referred to as a suspect, TMZ reported at the time that he was alleged to have been involved in a fight with Wagner while Wood was drowning near Catalina Island in California.
