'I'm in shock': 'Single's Inferno' star Choi Min-ji left heartbroken by basketball player Lee Gwan-hee in finale
SASEUNGBONG-DO, SOUTH KOREA: 'Single Inferno' Season 3's new entrant Choi Min-ji was confident while entering the show that she would manage to find a connection. She made sure to stir some couple's connections by inserting doubt in them.
However, Min-ji was left shocked and heartbroken when Lee Gwan-hee did not choose her in the end. Min-ji seemed to be pretty sure that Gwan-hee would pair up with her as he said goodbye to Choi Hye-seon in the finale of Season 3. As Gwan-hee chose Hye-seon in the end, Min-ji said as she walked toward her seat, "I'm in shock right now. I didn't see this coming."
She added, "I didn't know that it would turn out this way." The finale felt "wild" to Min-ji. Ahead of Gwan-hee's final choice revelation, Min-ji said, "I think the best thing I did during my time in inferno was going over to talk to you first." She added, "You made my heart flutter."
To reciprocate, Gwan-hee complimented Min-ji's attire. He said, "Min-ji, I love that dress." He claimed, "You're very close to being my ideal woman. And, I'm sorry that I didn't treat you better."
Gwan-hee went on to apologize to Min-ji for not reciprocating her emotions the same way she did.
Three women chose 'Single Inferno' Season 3 star Lee Gwan-hee in the finale
Gwan-hee knew that he sparked the interest of three women. Yun Ha-jeong made it clear ever since her day 1 that it was Gwan-hee who she was interested in. Despite Yun Ha-bin showing his interest in her, Ha-jeong did not entertain him and stayed focused on one man. However, Ha-jeong was turned down by Gwan-hee.
On the other hand, Hye-seon was also interested in Gwan-hee ever since her first paradise date with him. She tried exploring her connection with other men in the house but ended up realizing that she had strong feelings for Gwan-hee.
The third woman who chose Gwan-hee in the finale was Min-ji. She was interested in two men in the show, Lee Jin-seok and Gwan-hee.
Why did Choi Min-ji cry in 'Single Inferno' Season 3?
It was due to Gwan-hee that Min-ji broke down into tears. After their paradise date, they decided to stick to each other. However, Gwan-hee kept his condition that in order to make him feel secure, she shouldn't choose Park Min-kyu.
Doing the opposite made Gwan-hee turn mad. As Min-ji tried initiating a conversation with Gwan-hee while on their helicopter ride to paradise, he acted too cold and removed her hand.
This reaction made Min-ji break down into tears. Gwan-hee was not aware that Min-ji was crying on the helicopter and realized this only after they returned from their paradise. Gwan-hee felt bad and apologized for his behavior to Min-ji.
