TAMPA, FLORIDA: Ian Cole, the Tampa Bay Lightning player, has caught himself in yet another cheating scandal. The Michigan native is currently suspended after a woman on Twitter alleged that he groomed and sexually abused her when she was a minor. The NHL is currently investigating the shocking allegations against the Hockey pro.

Ian Cole who is happily married to Jordan Rockwell was previously accused of cheating on his wife. In July, the ice hockey defenseman was accused of cheating on his wife Jordan Rockwellwith Carolina Hurricanes reporter and writer Abby Labar. The couple was spotted on camera many times together. Nevertheless, there was no proof to back the allegations and were later considered as rumors spreading like wildfire on Twitter. Although Abby's fiance reportedly called off the wedding post rumors of infidelity.

Who is Jordan Rockwell?

Jordan Rockwell (Jordan Cole) met the ice hockey defenseman Ian Cole in college. Jordan graduated in 2011 from the University of Notre Dame-Mendoza College of Business with a BBA, Management Entrepreneurship, Theology. Like every other relationship, the couple too had a good start. In March 2015 Ian Cole joined the Pittsburgh Penguins. The year 2015 was considered the best for Ian Cole, Penguins secured Cole’s future in Pittsburg with a three-year contract worth $6.3 million he signed on June 29, 2015, and just two days before signing his deal he got married to his college sweetheart Jordan Rockwell. The couple welcomed a beautiful healthy boy in 2020.

Ian Cole's recent cheating scandal

Ian has recently caught himself in a serious sexual assault allegation due to which he is currently suspended while the NHL investigates the allegation. An anonymous user Emily_Smith3333 tweeted on Friday, October 7, accusing the Michigan native of assaulting her when she was in high school. The accuser claims Cole pressured her into having sex, "even though I made it very clear I did not want to," she wrote. The user claimed Cole wouldn't take no for an answer and groomed her for four years. She alleges their first sexual encounter occurred when she was still a minor while Cole had been in the NHL for a few years.

She claimed that Cole made "derogatory misogynistic comments," and would show her texts from other girls "to manipulate me to be desperate for his approval and less likely to speak out." The anonymous woman claimed, Cole allegedly bragged to his teammates about having sex with the victim, years after the first assault. On Sunday, The Lightning suspended Cole and said, "Our organization takes these allegations very seriously. While we continue to gather more details, we have decided to suspend Ian Cole pending the results of an investigation." However, the woman who spoke out of anonymity did not provide a clear timeline as to when the incident occurred.
