Kanye West says 'exhaustion from being lied to constantly' by people around him led to 2016 hospitalization
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kanye West blamed "exhaustion from hearing persistent lies" for triggering a psychotic breakdown that led to his hospitalization in 2016 during a recent interview. When asked about his mental health, Ye formerly known as Kanye West admitted to having an episode in the past.
"I believe that I suffered from exhaustion. I suffered from being lied to constantly by the people around me, by my management, by my ex-wife and I believe those things can drive anyone to a point of maximum exhaustion," said the 'Flashing Lights' rapper. Kanye appeared in an interview with Piers Morgan on his show 'Piers Morgan Uncensored'. The pair discussed a variety of matters ranging from the rapper apologizing for his anti-semitic tweets to calling the host a 'Karen'. The interview is set to air on Friday, October 21.

Kanye was referring to his 2016 hospitalization for a psychiatric emergency which led to many of his fans speculating about the reason behind his breakdown. Back in 2016, Kris Jenner was one of the first to say that the rapper was admitted to Los Angeles’s Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center due to serious exhaustion and sleep deprivation.
However, it seems that Ye is now debunking such rumors and calling it an act of being constantly lied to which did the deed. "But I also believe that I’m extremely brilliant and I’m here to make the world a better place. And I’m tired of the left media trying to pick on me," he added in a clip that was released on Thursday, October 20.
The 45-year-old, who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder during his treatment, believes that the media uses his mental health history to defame him. "When I bring up the truth, they’re gonna say you didn’t get enough sleep, it’s because of your health," claimed the rapper.
Another clip of the rapper arguing with Morgan has also surfaced. Kanye is heard calling the interviewer a 'Karen' during their talk about his anti-semitic tweets. However, he later apologizes for comments about the Jewish people saying that he is sorry for the hurt caused and the confusion surrounding it.
