The young man continued, “Never had I ever met a person so unbelievably beautiful inside and out. You lit up every place you went with your smile and beauty. The love that you showed me was something I had never experienced before, and I appreciate what we had so much. I always questioned how I got so lucky with a girl like you.”

“I was so unbelievably excited for our future and the adventures to come. We had so much to experience. It’s hard to picture life without you, but I will remember to keep my head up like you would want me to. I know that you’re still up there watching over me, your family, and your friends. I promise to make you proud from heaven and carry on your values of showing and spreading love to everyone. This is not a goodbye, but a see you soon. I love you so much, Maddie. Rest in paradise, angel,” Schriger added.
