'I Love A Mama's Boy': Fans slam Mike for using his wealth to lord over Stephanie

It didn't take too long for Stephanie Ressler to fall head-over-heels in love with Mike Boornazian. Stephanie was so smitten by 'I Love A Mama's Boy' star that she decided to let her career take a backseat in order to focus on building and strengthening their relationship. So when she was presented with a great job opportunity in Los Angeles, she passed up on it to stay closer to her boyfriend Mike. 

Things were moving pretty smoothly in their relationship until Mike asked her to move in with him. She happily jumped at the opportunity and moved in with him. This big leap in their relationship quickly created several problems in their relationship. Although Stephanie was always aware that Mike was really close to his mother, Liz Micale, she didn't really know the extent of their closeness. After moving in with him, she was far from pleased on seeing the unsettling close bond that the mother-son duo shared. But Stephanie was committed to Mike and was determined to make their relationship work, so she decided to overlook his relationship with his mother. But it looks like Stephanie may be having second thoughts about their relationship after watching how much control Liz has over their life, and how Mike keeps bringing up money during their fights.

After moving in with Mike, Stephanie wanted to furnish their new condo. So the couple began checking out various furniture options. Liz too chimed in although it wasn't her apartment, and picked out a couch. When it was finally time to buy the couch, Mike conveniently sided with his mother and bought the couch chosen by his mother instead of the one selected by Stephanie. When Stephanie found out about it she was furious.

She confronted Mike about it, but his response not only shut her down but also made her feel uncomfortable and question their future together. Mike bluntly pointed out that it was his house and he was paying for everything so he could do whatever he wanted. Stephanie kept quiet and in her green room interview expressed how Mike constantly reminded her that it was his house and his money whenever they had any disagreements, She however felt that they were a team and that it was unfair on his part to bring up money during their fights.

"Come on Mike, you can’t keep throwing out that you are the one that paid for it. That has a tendency to drive people away. Think of it this way, If Stephanie is truly the one…. You can always make more money but can you find another Steph? #ILoveAMamasBoy," pointed out a fan. Another fan seconded with, "Mike needs to check his mother. And at the same time, Stephanie needs to leave him, as he keeps saying, "it's mind" and/or "I paid for it!" She is stupid for thinking, moving in would make things better! He is passively aggressively disrespecting her. #iloveamamasboy."

In the upcoming episode, Stephanie turns to her parents for advise on her relationship with Mike. Her father can be seen telling her that she is wasting her time with Mike. While Mike redacts on his decision to propose to Stephanie due to the constant fights. We can't wait to see how things play out between the couple.
