'I Love A Mama's Boy': Emily's temper tantrum labelled 'immature' by annoyed fans

When 'I Love A mama's Boy' first premiered, fans felt sorry for Emily Chu after watching how her boyfriend Shekeb Sekander and his mother Laila treated her. From hurling abuses to calling her names, Laila went above and beyond to make Emily feel unwelcome into her family. For the longest time, Emily put up with Laila's unacceptable behavior as she was head over heels in love with Shekeb and wanted their relationship to work. But towards the end of the first season, the couple split up after an explosive fight between Laila and Emily.

Unfortunately for Laila, Emily and Shekeb patched up and began working on strengthening their relationship. However, fans were surprised to see a very different side of Emily on the show's season 2. From declaring that women shouldn't go to work to demanding a $40,000 engagement ring, Emily wasn't being her usual self. Although fans didn't really like the new Emily they were still rooting for the couple's relationship to work. Laila too reluctantly agreed to give her blessings to the couple if Emily passed one of her tests. Laila convinced Shekeb to give Emily a promise ring instead of an engagement ring, and if she accepted it gracefully then Laila promised Shekeb that she would welcome Emily with open arms. But if Emily made a fuss about the ring then the couple should break up. Shekeb agreed to it and presented Emily with a promise ring.

To Laila's delight, Emily was furious when she saw a promise ring instead of an engagement ring. She threw the ring away and stormed off in anger. Shekeb was hurt and decided to keep his distance from Emily. On the other hand. Emily began regretting her behavior and decided to apologize to him. But when she arrived at his place to hash things out, she was met with cold treatment not only from Laila but also Shekeb. Emily was further triggered on seeing Laila wear the promise ring that was initially presented to her and demanded to have it back. When Laila refused to give her the ring and said she wasn't worthy of it, Emily got really angry and began destroying Laila's property. 

In a fit of rage, Emily began screaming, grunting, and broke Laila's flower pots. Fans were totally put off by Emily's behavior and called her out for it. A fan tweeted, "Emily go home this is embarrassing #iloveamamasboy." Another fan wrote, "Emily your acting is horrible and awful-its horra-awful. #iloveamamasboy."
