'I have shut down': Adriana Kuch's mom Sarah says she is grieving differently than her husband Michael

BERKELEY, NEW JERSEY: The heartbroken mother of Adriana Kuch, Sarah, says she is "grieving differently" than her husband, Michael Kuch. Sarah Kuch posted on her husband Michael's Facebook page that the horrific death of Adriana, 14, has made her "shut down."
Four girls were arrested and charged after Adriana Kuch died by suicide in her Bayville home on February 3, within hours of a video showing Adriana being bullied surfaced online. The incident happened in Berkeley Township's Central Regional High School.

Sarah was reportedly utterly horrified by her child's death but has been less vocal than her husband while interacting with the press. Additionally, the entire nation has been constantly sending condolences and prayers to the girl's grieving family.
'I'm grieving differently than my husband'
Sarah began the heartbreaking social media post by expressing her gratitude to everyone who had contacted her by calls, texts, and private messages as well as to those who had attended the viewing, donated cards, gifts, and donations. "I am handling this tragic situation very differently, and I'm grieving differently than my husband is. I am shut down. I am heartbroken," wrote Sarah. "I am overwhelmed by the media randomly showing up at my home. I am mentally drained beyond belief, and I honestly need and want peace for Adriana and my kids. I handled the funeral and all the tasks in between. There is so much anger, pain, stress, and anxiety that goes along with this. I can not explain."
'My goal is to be by his side'
Michael's wife added, "My husband is on a mission, and I am leaving that to him." She said in the post that she "will not partake in any interviews unless her husband says so and/or their attorney approves." She continued, "My goal is to be by his side and support him. I am more interested in Adriana's love of animals, and I plan on reaching out to our shelter."
'I will not tolerate negative gossip'
Sarah stresses in her post that the purpose of her post is get people to understand Adriana and her story and to honor her legacy in a positive way. "Please understand the goal here is Adriana and her story and to keep her memory alive in a positive way," she penned. "I will not tolerate negative gossip about our family, friend requests from people who do not know me. Know this...I am a private person and all this is so overwhelming for me. I will not tolerate anyone questioning my children either, hounding my husband here on FB."
'Please respect me and my family'
Sarah urged readers to show some respect during this difficult time, concluding the post by thanking everyone who had supported her. "Please respect me and my family," she wrote. "Lastly I wanted to thank my family Jennifer Ferro Sami Nye Jacob Kuch Michael Jr Jenn Lynn and so many more I wish to not tag just to be polite. I love you all so much and you have no idea how much you mean to me. To my husband I love you more than you will ever know."
