True crime stories are always interesting to watch, especially if there are first-hand accounts of those crimes. Netflix was quite successful in establishing an audience for the said genre with 'The Confession Tapes' (2017) and it could do the same with 'I am a Killer' Season 2.

Release Date

British crime documentary series 'I am a Killer' 2 drops on Netflix on January 31.

Plot

It follows the investigation procedure of murderers who await death sentences. Of course, it's going to get dark and unsettling as they go about sharing the details of each of their crime stories and what made them do it. For the first time, it will feature women with life imprisonment.

Just to give it some context, in the previous season, one of the subjects shot his colleague five times in the face and received a life sentence. He continued his killing spree even in prison by strangling his cellmate and later, stabbing him 20 times. Clearly, it's going to dark and gory. But true crime show lovers love that realism, don't they?

Cast

It'll feature real people, real subjects. There's going to be nothing that comes out of a script. Some of the criminals include Cavona Flenoy, Charles Armentrout, Brandon Hutchinson, Toby Lynn Williams, Leo Little, and Lindsey Haugen, What's On Netflix reported.

Showrunners

Last year, Diana Carter, CI Commissioning Editor and Executive Producer, was proud to announce that the show had been renewed for a second season. She mentioned how the maiden season was appreciated by the viewers for its careful approach towards treating the subject matter.

“I Am A Killer plays a key part in our programming strategy; sitting alongside other locally produced hits like Murdertown with Katherine Kelly and the forthcoming Evil Up Close. Our audience of passionate true crime fans appreciated the thoughtful and carefully crafted approach of the filmmakers to such controversial subject matter. We are proud to bring it back for a second season," she released a statement.

Trailer

If horrific crimes and cold, calculating criminals don't haunt you then maybe this is the show you should bookmark for when it arrives on Netflix.
