Hulu's anthology horror courtesy Blumhouse, 'Into the Dark' just wrapped its debut season of monthly installments based on one particular holiday signifying the month of its release. But of course, with October approaching fast with all things spooky, the show had to release a Halloween special and what better way to do it than with young adults getting trapped inside a sinister board game in the upcoming feature-length episode 'Uncanny Annie'! Here's all you need to know about it.
Release date:
Premiering in the Halloween time frame, 'Uncanny Annie' drops on October 4, only on Hulu. The rest of the 12 episodes of the show's stellar debut season will be available for streaming on the same platform.
Plot:
According to the official synopsis of the show, a group of friends decides to indulge in one of those stereotypical supernatural board games, called 'Uncanny Annie'. Clad in their Halloween costumes, the group sits around the game and has their own share of fun, until creepy, eerie instances begin unfolding and soon they realize the game is more than just a board and dice rolling. The mysterious game one by one brings every members' darkest secrets to the surface and shows them their individual deepest fears coming to life, with the only way to escape being to continue playing to win and survive.
Cast:
The episode will feature Georgie Flores, Adelaide Kane, Paige McGhee, Jacques Colimon, Dylan Arnold, and Evan Bittencourt as the six friends playing the ominous board game on Halloween night. The names of the characters they will be playing hasn't been revealed yet.
