Williams took to Twitter to point out how quick social media was at calling Tucker Carlson racist but there isn't enough outrage about Stern's blackface and the right-wing backed his views

Fox News' Tucker Carlson might have a supporter in comedian Terrence K Williams as the latter took to Twitter to share the how while the journalist is being called "racist" for slamming the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement, people aren't criticizing Howard Stern enough for a blackface act he put up a while ago, in a recently emerged video.

"People are calling @TuckerCarlson racist but they are silent when it comes to Howard Stern wearing blackface and using the N-Word Howard thinks Trump supporters are dumb and racist. But I find this video to be racist and dumb of him. It’s not funny," Williams shared on his Twitter account along with the video where Stern can be seen in blackface, and was met with an angry flock of right-wing supporters who made their best attempts at putting the left on blast. Their most common accusations were regarding "hypocrisy", something they claim this bias in reactions further illustrates.

Carlson's brush with the liberals happened when the presenter decided to slam the BLM movement, claiming how "This may be a lot of things, this moment we’re living through, but it is definitely not about black lives. Remember that when they come for you, and at this rate, they will." Carlson was referring to the ongoing protests and riots against the murder of George Floyd after Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for close to nine minutes during an arrest for a counterfeit $20 bill.

This led to the spur of the BLM movement, with celebrities and voicing out their own personal encounter with police brutality, and especially racism in all walks of life just because of their skin color. Naturally, all spheres of pop culture addressed the issue, and soon 'Sesame Street' ended up getting called out by Carlson for its furry characters Elmo and his dad Louis talking about the adverse issue of racism in America.

Carlson slamming both led to widespread outrage over social media, and support flocked adequately too, with the hashtag #StandWithTuckerCarlson trending top in the US. But comedian Williams wasn't having any of the biased reaction against Carlson when someone as huge as Stern's blackface scandal surfaced. Stern's video dates back to a skit aimed at Ted Danson’s 1993 blackface performance with his then-girlfriend Whoopi Goldberg, reports Page Sixx. The skit sees Stern sport blackface -- the abhorrent act of a non-African American person painting their face in darker skin tones to mock and mimic black people. And he also proceeds to say the n-word couple of times, as part of his 'New Year’s Rotten Eve Pageant' that aired on December 31 that year, shares the outlet.

But social media isn't slamming the American radio and television personality hard enough, complained Williams on Twitter. Williams' views were shared by angry Republicans and conservative right-wing fanatics, who further complained about this "hypocrisy" among the liberals. "It's disgusting. And the silence from the Left is reflective of their hypocrisy," shared one such user on Twitter, commenting on Williams' tweet. Another opined: "LOONEY LEFT HYPOCRISY. Haven’t heard of TMOBILE or other corporate advertisers leaving Howard Stern yet. It’s the hypocrisy and why they are the LOONEY left." Carlson's on-air proclamations lost him several sponsorships like T-Mobile, but the right-wing is mad Stern hasn't been boycotted yet.

One user explained the left's silence, claiming: "They stay silent on everything they can’t argue or they start with the insults. Just like every time I post this picture and ask their opinion." And another tweeted: "I'm sure you're well aware of the acceptable double standard, right? Democrats are allowed to do anything, and it's ok, but Republicans aren't. Otherwise many of them would have long been fired from their jobs and removed from their positions."

As for Stern's blackface, voicing their criticism, a user tweeted: "Howard Stern is not the least bit entertaining to me. He's ugly, inside and out. Frankly, the way he jokes about sex and talks about women, I wouldn't be surprised if we find out down the road that he was a frequent visitor to Epstein's private island. He is disgusting.." For another, all's fair in war and comedy, as they wrote: "Comedy deserves the 'benefit of the doubt' more so than any other form of speech. Stern is a complete shitbag now, but comedy is comedy."
