‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 6 Episode 5 hints at Gabriel's FBI connection

If Gabriel is an FBI informant and he dies next, who can bring Annalise & Co. down is the question now.

‘How To Get Away With Murder’ has always managed to keep us on the edge of the seats, with the lingering question running through our minds, “Who died next?" In Episode 4 it was hinting at Frank when he dropped half-dead at Bonnie’s house, but that fear was wiped out when in Episode 5 we saw him being taken care of at the hospital and he manages to survive. But as quintessential to the character of HTGAWM, there cannot be a prolonged ‘safe space.'

As Episode 5 ends, we see a flash-forward of a crime scene at Asher and Gabriel’s apartment, albeit without a dead body (not yet). Tegan walks in and tries to examine the crime scene but is stopped immediately by the police. All we get to see is a lot of crime scene unit people running to and fro, along with a flash-forward to Michaela being interrogated by the FBI. The FBI agents tell Michaela that one of their informants is dead. The camera pans simultaneously up the stairs, showing us a bloody handprint and a pool of blood, and that’s where we are once again left hanging. Now judging by the flash-forward, we have a serious concern for Annalise & Co. If you add the pieces together, the last person to be seen at the apartment was Gabriel and Michaela and the dead body couldn’t have been of Asher, since he is home, visiting this mother. The others are at the K4 home, debating over what should be done next. Hence, by process of elimination, all fingers point to Gabriel or Michaela.

Could Gabriel be the FBI informant who could be dead in Episode 6? (IMDb)

Now the question remains, which one of the two could be dead and which one could be the murderer? If we are being speculative, we would say that Gabriel might have been an informant, which explains why he would have suddenly walked into Annalise’s life and stays mysterious for quite some time initially. What if he had learned the truth about his father’s death and came to Annalise to avenge him? Is it possible that when Michaela goes to reconcile with Gabriel, she finds out that he is selling her friends out to the FBI, and so she kills him in self-defense, just like she did with Sam?

We cannot wait to see another dark, twisted, event unfold in the lives of Keating 4 and if at all, everyone will get to get away with murder, manipulation, and mayhem!
