'How to Get Away with Murder' Season 6 Episode 2 spoilers suggest Vivian could be the one to quash Annalise
The 'How to Get Away with Murder' season six premiere ended with the ever-so-teasing cliffhanger, suggesting Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) may or may not be dead.
The promotional teaser for episode two walks along the same path, raising the question about who killed Annalise while adding a new character to the mix, who could also be the murderer.
The second episode begins with a Vivian telling Annalise that she is "here" for good. Vivian, as it turns out, happens to be Gabriel Keating's mother.
Vivian and Annalise's now-deceased husband, Sam Keating, were married before he and Annalise tied the knot, and they had a child together — Gabriel.
We now know that the whole reason why Gabriel transferred to Annalise's school was because he was being blackmailed by the FBI to dig up dirt on her.
While the FBI was blackmailing Gabriel, threatening to frame Vivian for Sam's death, Vivian was also keeping tabs on Gabriel, spying on him from her car as he progressed in his relationship with Michaela.
We have seen Vivian lodging at a hotel, packing Sam's case files with her on the move, and in the season premiere, she also gets a text from a mysterious number, informing her that Annalise is back.
As the trailer for episode two asks who killed Annalise and portrays a montage of all the members of the Keating Crew who could have been responsible for it, there's no overlooking the fact that Vivian too had just as much of an incentive in murdering her.
The conversation she and Annalise have in the newly released promo is a heated one, almost as if Vivian is threatening Annalise by establishing her presence around the other woman.
It is possible that Gabriel's failure in digging up dirt on Annalise could have led to the FBI blackmailing Vivian to take over the job, making her hunt down the dynamic lawyer, all for being the other woman.
'How to Get Away with Murder' finale season six airs on Thursday nights at 9 pm, only on ABC.
