'How to Get Away with Murder' season 6 reveals Annalise determined to bury all the lies, but will she get away with it?

The most brilliant aspect of the newly released promo is the very compact recap of all the insane, crazy murders and cover-ups on the show so far.

It is finally time to nail the coffins after five solid years of successfully getting away with murder. ABC has released the official trailer of the sixth and final season of the hit Viola Davis starrer 'How to Get Away with Murder', and Annalise Keating is not messing around when she says she is going to bury the lies and bury them all deep under the ground.

The most brilliant aspect of the newly released promo is the very compact recap of all the insane, crazy murders and cover-ups on the show so far, but the highlight still remains whether or not, after all this while of getting away with their murders and mayhems, the group will be able to get away with the crimes they are about to commit in season 6.

"We've been eaten alive by the lies and the fear, the guilt, and the shame, and that's no way to live," Annalise (Davis) tells her group of mentees, in a very dramatic but frantic tone, before assuring them: "We're gonna bury it. We're gonna bury all of it." Still, the question remains, who is getting buried? And more importantly, will they be able to 'bury' their emotions after all this time? Especially with yet another major character's death shattering the world of Annalise and her law students, the chances of finding closure seems bleak at this point, but they will strive towards it, looks like.

Encompassing all of the major turns and twist the plot has thrown like a curveball at its fans in all the five years, the trailer takes us through both the pleasant and unpleasant reminders of those that have fallen. We see the murder of Annalise's husband, Sam (Tom Verica) - something that had become quite the highlight with the FBI's investigation into the law professor's life in the preceding season 5. Then we go through the murders of Lila (Megan West) and Rebecca (Katie Findlay), and are even taken back to the time when Wes (Alfred Enoch) shot Annalise. We are shown the birth of Laurel's (Karla Souza) son, and even though viewers are given no hint about her whereabouts at this time, just reminiscing this gritty journey the characters have been coursing through makes one shiver at the idea of it all getting linked back to the group.

And for those not as concerned with Laurel's whereabouts, the teaser does an exceptional job at teasing something very concerning about Connor (Jack Falahee.) Connor isn't the most reliable person to contain his breakdown and he is easily the first one to unravel, but the trailer shows him frantically bludgeoning something or worse, someone to possible death which can never be nice. What's even worse is the ominous lowering of a casket in the final scene of the trailer and suddenly we are very worried about both Connor and Laurel. Could it be either of them? Both of them?

Find out when 'How to Get Away with Murder' season 6 premieres on September 26 at 9 p.m, only on ABC.
