HOUSTON, TEXAS: Rudy Farias, the Houston teen who disappeared eight years ago has returned, but with some shocking claims. Recently, Rudy was found by the authorities outside a church in Houston with some bruises, cuts, and blood in his hair. Rudy has alleged that his mother Janie Santana kept him hostage inside their home and used him as a sex slave.

Farias’ family released a statement after Rudy was found last week in a poor condition, “We want to thank the media and public for all their support. My son Rudy Farias IV was found on Thursday, June 29, after being missing for eight years. Currently, we do not have any additional information on Rudy's case. What we do know is at the time of his recovery, a good Samaritan located him unresponsive and immediately called police and 911.” It continued, “My son Rudy is receiving the care he needs to overcome his trauma, but at this time, he is nonverbal and not able to communicate with us. We are asking for privacy during this difficult time but will share more details as Rudy continues to heal.”

How Rudolph Farias III died?

Rudolph Farias III was a veteran Houston police officer, who had served the department for 21 years before he was relieved amid ongoing internal investigation. He was facing the inquiry with three other officers allegedly involved in a ticket-writing scheme. The next day, on August 19, 2014, he died of suicide, reports the Daily Mail.

The four officers were accused of listing each other as witnessing officers of traffic so they can collect overtime. He had two sons with his wife Janie Santana, Charles, and Rudy.

Notably, there are also theories that Rudy never went missing, though as per records he was reported to have disappeared while walking two dogs. Kisha Ross, a neighbor, told ABC13, “He used to come in my garage, chill with my cousin, son, and daughter. That boy has never been missing.” Another neighbor, who didn’t want to be named, reacted, “I was just shocked someone over here was missing, and we see him. It's shocking to everyone.”

'Is Rudy safe? We don't know'

Both Farias and Santana officially met the Houston police on Wednesday, July 5, as Farias was spotted hiding his face under a blanket as he walked out of a Houston hotel along with counselor Quanell X. The latter became emotional while sharing the conversation he had with Rudy. Hood News posted a video of Farias being walked out of the hotel, indicating that he left with his mother.

Grizzy of Hood News expressed concern over Farias, "Is Rudy safe? We don't know, we don't know his mom's with him, you tell me. Adding, "I'm worried she's going to try and shut him up in a more permanent way." It is unclear where the 25-year-old man went after he left the Houston police station.
