She stuck to what Dr Now asked her to do. There were times when she faltered a little but immediately got back to where she needed to in order to make the change that was needed to get her health back on track. Tammy, a mother and a grandmother, was determined to be present for her family and knew that she wouldn't be able to do so if she continued to be on death watch with a body mass index (BMI) of 100 and 594 lbs weight.

How much weight did Tammy Patton with Dr Now's program?
The first two months on Dr Now's program didn't yield the results that were expected out of Tammy. She had lost only 20 lbs out of the 40 that she was asked to and she requested that her follow-up appointment be rescheduled. She went back to the clinic weighing 550 lbs and even though she had lost over 40 lbs, Dr Now wasn't happy with it as the time she took to shed those pounds was longer.
Dr Now sent her away with a fresh weight-loss goal, assuring Tammy that he would approve her for surgery if she could successfully lose another 40 lbs in the next two months. Tammy tried everything to make it possible but everything came to a halt with Covid-19 restrictions which also took a toll on her weight-loss journey. Tammy couldn't go back for another follow-up appointment but over a video call with Dr Now, she admitted that she was slacking with her diet and exercises but the chat did help put things back into perspective for her and she tried to get back to doing what she was expected to.
Seven months later she was back at the clinic and weighed 552 lbs, two pounds more than her last weigh-in, resulting in Dr Now retracting his approval. But Tammy wasn't done yet, she received another chance to prove that she was determined to lead a healthy life and when she went back for an appointment during the 14 months of being on the program, the results were pleasantly surprising.
