'My 600-lb Life': Where is Chrystal Rollins now? Here an update on her weight loss with Dr Now's program
Chrystal Rollins ended up getting a go-ahead from Dr Nowzaradan during the latest 'My 600-lb Life' episode titled 'Chrystal's Journey'. Not receiving enough attention from her mother Libby and then being molested when she was still under the age of 10 left a number of scars on Chrystal's emotional wellbeing. She turned to food for comfort and never stopped leading to it turning into an addiction that she couldn't rid herself of.
She was also a victim of abusive relationships wherein a lot of her boyfriends had beat her to a pulp, including the father of her daughters Ivoriana and Tatiana. She had stopped dating after that and focused on raising her daughters but her weight made it impossible to do so.

As her daughters grew and were about to start high school, Chrystal decided to take charge of her life and lose weight in order to support her kids and free them from the shackles of her bedbound life. However, it came with a lot of perseverance, hard work, therapy, along with Dr Now's weight loss program. Here's a summary of her journey from 611 lbs to 498 lbs.
How much weight did Chrystal Rollins lose in 'My 600-lb Life'?
At the first weigh-in at Dr Now's clinic, Chrystal's weight was a whopping 611 lbs. Along with being morbidly obese, she also suffered from congestive heart disease and high blood pressure and her legs leaked water and were perpetually swollen. Chrystal was dependent on an oxygen tank to breathe and she couldn't do so without it for a minute which Dr Now viewed as a huge concern.
Her lungs had failed to sustain the strain that her weight was putting on them and Dr Now noted that she needed to get rid of the tank as soon as she could. Her weight loss goal was to lose 60 lbs in 2 months and Chrystal couldn't do it twice. Dr Now threatened her with dire consequences and even asked her to focus on bettering her hygiene and failure to do so might lead to her being admitted to a controlled facility against her will.
Chrystal was annoyed after Dr Now warned her but she knew that losing the weight was the right thing to do. In her third attempt she exceeded the weight she was asked to drop and her final recorded weight was 498 lbs, meaning she had lost 113 pounds at the end of her weight loss program with Dr Now.
Did Chrystal Rollins get the weight loss surgery?
Chrystal Rollins qualified for the surgery after losing more weight than Dr Now asked her to. However, her lungs were still in bad shape and all her health issues that existed at the beginning of her weight loss program persisted. Scheduling Chrystal for surgery in these conditions was not the ideal situation and would have yielded severe results. Dr Now asked her to drop a few more pounds and focus on improving her health further if she wanted to go through with the surgery.
The episode ended with Chrystal being in a much better place both in terms of physical and mental health. Her stamina had become better and was seen spending a day at the park playing frisbee with her daughters Tatiana and Ivoriana at the end of the episode and it was a happy ending to Chrystal's otherwise tragedy-addled story.
