Justin Bieber health update: Hailey Bieber breaks silence on singer's Ramsay Hunt syndrome
Hailey Bieber gave fans an update on her husband Justin Bieber's facial paralysis after he confirmed it. The musician, 28, earlier revealed on Instagram on Friday, June 10, that he suffers from Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which has left him paralyzed on one side of his face. Justin explained that he couldn't grin properly and couldn't blink one eye due to sickness, though he subsequently added that ‘every day has gotten better.’ And during an interview on ABC's Good Morning America, his wife Hailey, 25, gave a new update on the Grammy Award winner's health.
Hailey said on the show when asked about her husband's recent health crisis, "He is doing really well. He is getting better every single day. He's feeling a lot better.” "Obviously, it was just a very scary and random situation to happen, but he's gonna be totally okay and I'm just grateful that he's fine,” she further commented in the interview. Many fans have sent well-wishes, advice, and recommendations to the music star to which Hailey said that the response he has received from fans and loved ones has been ‘truly great.’

Justin Bieber sparks concern over partial face paralysis due to Ramsay Hunt Syndrome
According to the National Organization for Rare Diseases, when the virus that causes chickenpox in children reactivates, it causes inflammation and irritation of the facial nerves, resulting in Ramsay Hunt syndrome. It's unclear what causes this, but it's suspected that a weaker immune system leads the virus to reactivate. Stress might also cause this to happen. Facial paralysis, trouble closing eyes, hearing loss, and difficulties with facial emotions are all symptoms. Within a few weeks to months, the majority of patients regain their full range of motion. However, in certain circumstances, it may result in a permanent decrease in mobility. Antivirals and steroids are used in the treatment. Some doctors may also suggest facial exercises, albeit there is little evidence that this is effective. This syndrome affects about five out of every 100,000 Americans each year, according to the organization.
Justin's health issue comes after Hailey was admitted to the hospital earlier this year with ‘stroke-like symptoms,’ with her later undergoing surgery to correct a hole in her heart. Discussing her health, Hailey said she feels a lot better, adding, "I had a procedure done to close this hole in my heart and I'm just giving my body time to heal and recover." The model, who recently launched her own skincare line, Rhode, said she is doing well now and is grateful for the fact that she is no longer on medicine.
