What is happening to King George and Queen Charlotte?

Queen Charlotte and King George are spending time apart. While Queen is pregnant, alone, and misses her husband, King is tortured by Dr Monro’s maniac treatment. The conflict between the two is majorly due to the interference of Princess Augusta, as she only wants an heir to the throne.

Unhappy and troubled Queen Charlotte wrote to his brother Adolphus for help. He visits her at the Royal Palace, feeling pleased to see his sister as a queen. Unfortunately, when Adolphus expresses his joy, Queen Charlotte tells him that she’s “not happy and wants to go home.” Adolphus replies with certain insensitivity and calls her “emotional.” During their conversation, Adolphus passed unsympathetic and cold statements, calling “leaving the kingdom an act of war, a treason.” Also, it was revealed that Adolphus forged an alliance between their province and King George’s. Sadly, Queen Charlotte is left disappointed by her brother.

On the other hand, King George’s scream of pain and suffering can be heard on multiple occasions in this episode. Perhaps he would have stayed with Queen Charlotte; her care and love might have done some good to him.

‘Venus is here, George’

Queen Charlotte finally decides to become the true queen and do what’s best for her and her marriage. Without any second thought, she heads to Kew to see her husband. However, doctor Monro refuses her to visit him, but Queen Charlotte is firm and threatens the doctor. As she enters the “torture room,” she hugs King George and attempts to bring him back. She referred to herself as, ‘Venus us here, George,’ reflecting on the night she discovered his illness.

With one more episode remaining, let’s hope it blows our minds.
