MADRID, SPAIN: There are thousands of deep fake videos circulating all over the world. What's more with AI, it has become even easier to create malicious 'fake' clips. Despite the inappropriate use of the Deepfake technology, it continues to be used by many industries. The one that has benefited the most is the advertising and entertainment industry to avoid reshoots. Ever since Deepfake has been introduced, viewers have been wondering about the extent of its uses in the entertainment industry like cameos by posthumous actors in long-running franchises.

Netflix's show 'Deep Fake Love' will introduce five couples in the show. And with the help of Deepfake technology, an exact replica of these couples will be made. These replicas will have all the information of the original cast members. This might seem interesting to the viewers but it might not be that great for the cast members themselves who try not to get fooled. They will be forced to choose between the real and the fake scenario and their choices will decide the winners. As we wait for the release of the new season, let's take a look at how AI works for such dating shows.

How does Deepfake technology duplicate contestants?

Synthetic media aka Deepfake technology is all set to digitally manipulate people. This technology uses an incredible amount of data to con people. The individual's numerous data points and actual footage is needed at first to create the person's image. This later helps the production team to make the digital personality of the cast members mouth any dialogue they want. Indeed, the entire storyline lies in the hand of the show's writers and the production team. They can handle the movements as well as the dialogues of the created personality. Instead of requiring an entire set and a great crew member, Deepfake Technology requires only a small team to build the storyline.

Will Deepfake technology break up the couples on the show?

It might! The couples who are to appear in the show will be split. They will then be sent to the White Room where they will be shown scenes of each of their partners interacting with singles. The interactions will get steamy and scandalous as the show moves ahead. However, one thing that will not be revealed throughout the episode is whether the ones committing the scandalous acts are actually their partner or the one created with the help of Deepfake technology. With trust being at risk, the couples will either leave the show single or surpass all the hurdles and fall even more in love with partners.

Let us wait for the release of the new show to see if AI can affect the couples' relationships. 'Deep Fake Love' will release on July 6 on Netflix.
