LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM: Sophie Lloyd, Machine Gun Kelly's guitarist is receiving a lot of media attention worldwide after MGK and Megan Fox's fans claimed that she had something to do with the couple's breakup. The guitarist's management team even released a statement claiming that the speculations are wrong and that the rumors are quite disrespectful.

The British guitarist joined the American rapper's Mainstream Sellout tour in 2022. The tour kicked off in June and went on until October, giving Sophie an opportunity to develop her craft and perform in front of millions of people.

How did Sophie Llyod join MGK's band?

Sophie claims that the 'Bloody Valentine' singer slid into her DMs to approach her about his sold-out tour, after seeing her social media videos, according to a report by NME. "MGK literally just messaged me on Instagram one day, after seeing some of my videos. We Facetimed, we seemed to vibe really well, and before I knew it, I had my visa and was flying from London to LA for rehearsals," Sophie said.

In order to mark her position in MGK's band, Sophie even tattooed the rapper's double X symbol behind her ears. MGK has the same identical tattoo, as do other members of the band, so this means that Sophie is an official part of the family for life.

Sophie and the MGK tour experience

The tour with MGK marked Sophie's first tour as a musical act. The musician said it was an important part of shaking off any claims she was merely a "bedroom guitarist." She claims that she has performance anxiety and imposter syndrome, but being on tour definitely helped her cope with it.

"Touring with Machine Gun Kelly was amazing. It was like one big family, and I felt so comfortable and safe from the get go. I also love how he uses his music to tell a story and portray a message," she told the Express. She also talks about how incredible the MGK fans are. "The fans of MGK, you see a lot in the media about him but my experience has been he’s so f**king awesome, he’s incredible, he’s caring, he’s so loving and passionate and his fans are exactly the same," she added.

Alongside the tour, Sophie is working on her debut solo album, 'Imposter Syndrome'. She also released the EP 'Delusions' in 2018.
