How did Chris Schaffer and Patrick Phyrillas die? YouTuber James Phyrillas in critical state after tragedy
LEIGH COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA: It has been reported that members of the YouTube group Schaffrillas Productions were involved in a fatal car crash that left two of them dead and one in critical condition. While Patrick Phyrillas, and a friend, Chris Schaffer, both reportedly died as a result of the crash, Patrick's brother James Phyrillas, the creator of the channel, is critical. Patrick and Chris were 22 and 25, respectively.
Upper Macungie Township police said the crash took place on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at 4:02 pm. The sedan, which was traveling south on Folk Road, tried to cross Hamilton Boulevard when it was struck by a commercial tractor-trailer traveling east on Hamilton Boulevard, Lehigh Valley Live reported. There is reportedly no traffic signal at the intersection, which was under construction. According to Coroner Daniel Buglio, both men were pronounced dead at the crash site.

What is Schaffrillas Productions?
Schaffrillas Productions was created by James, and both Chris and Patrick regularly appeared as guests in the videos. The channel was initially created because they wanted to post skits during high school, but it soon transitioned into a page where James would post YouTube Poops, inspired by popular animated movies. James eventually became a film critic, talking about various animated films.

Yesterday, James Phyrillas aka Schaffrillas, his friend Chris Schaffer, and his brother Patrick Phyrillas, were all involved in a car crash in Leigh County.
Chris and Patrick have died, and James is in critical condition.
Heartbroken social media users reacted to the tragic news on Twitter. "Sitting in disbelief. Please let us know if any fund needs to be raised for medical bills or anything else financial of any kind. God speed to James and rest in peace to Chris and Patrick," YouTuber Stephen Carver, known online as Saberspark, said.
