WASHINGTON, DC: Rapper Semi Homie has reportedly died in a triple shooting in Washington, DC, on Tuesday, February 21. The Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch confirmed that a triple shooting took place in Saratoga Avenue, Northeast, on the night of February 21, and that at least one of the victims had died.
It is believed the murder allegedly happened in connection with Cruddy Murda, MoneybagKZ, and a 100k chain, The US Sun reported. Homie is the latest among the long list of rappers who recently lost their lives to gun violence, including PnB Rock, Coolio, Snootie Wild, Takeoff, Lil Keed and Rollie Bands.

Fans in disbelief
Homie’s videographer, whose Instagram handle is @sarafismidas, shared a photo of the rapper in his Instagram story. Several people on social media paid tribute to the rapper. In his last Instagram post, shared on February 15, Homie promoted his latest single Deja Vu. Several fans paid tribute to him in the comment section. "Ain’t no way bru," one user wrote, while another said, "waitttttttttttt, AINT NO FUC*** WAYY!." said another. "rip babyboy," said one user. One wrote, "Ong u better be alive I’m not playing".
Two other victims survived the shooting
Two other victims, who survived the shooting, were reportedly treated for non-life-threatening injuries. At present, The Metropolitan Police Department offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who can provide information that leads cops to the suspects involved in the shooting.
