'Home Sweet Home Alone': Funniest scenes from the 1990s 'Home Alone' classics
You absolutely cannot think of Christmas and not have 'Home Alone' come to mind. The 1990s classics remain evergreen with audiences all over the world tuning in for a rewatch around the holiday season. Although the movies have had many more predecessors, there's nothing quite like the first two movies which star Macaulay Culkin, Daniel Stern, and Joe Pesci in the lead.
Disney+ is about to come out with the sixth installment of the franchise and fans of the originals aren't too happy about it. So to soften the blow here are some of the funniest moments from the classics. So scroll on to get your giggle back before the Disney+ release.

1. Movie - Home Alone (1990)
Scene - Tarantula on the face
Kevin uses various tricks to get the better of the wet bandits, but this improvised action remains iconic. Upon being caught by Marv he spots his brother Buzz's tarantula wandering about and places the arthropod on his face. The shriek he lets out is hilarious to the core but gets even funnies when the spider is false onto a semi-conscious Harry. The slow Marv then proceeds to attempt to hit the spider with a crowbar only furthering Harry's injuries.

2. Movie - Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
Scene - Bird Attack
In the sequel we see Kevin get chased through the scenes of New York and land up in a park. The bandits now covered in glue catch up to him when the mysterious bird lady shows up and throws bird feed on them. What follows is truly hilarious as we see multiple pigeons land on the sticky bandits as they fall down. But the cherry on top is the high-pitched scream Marv lets out that makes for a perfect finish.

3. Movie - Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
Scene - Marv gets electrocuted, Harry blows up
When Marv is incapacitated and covered in paint we see Kevin mess about with the fuse box which he has connected to the sink via cables as Marv gets up to wash his face he gets the shock of his life (literally) as we see him get electrocuted. In a moment of peak ridiculousness that makes us laugh we see Marv switch between a shrieking skeleton and his usual paint-covered face. As Harry wanders about we see a rigged blowtorch light his hat on fire which he realizes after a few seconds. No water in the taps leads him to dunk his head in the toilet, but Kevin who was prepared for this had filled the pot with kerosene. We see a bright flash as Harry emerges with a burnt head, blacked face, and teeth in frustration.

4. Movie - Home Alone (1990)
Scene - Kevin uses aftershave
It's Christmas morning and Kevin wakes to find himself home alone. But the boy isn't afraid instead he's LOVING it! He goes about his day doing whatsoever he wants. After a bath wanting to imitate the adults he confidently puts on some aftershave. The result? Pain! The aftershave burns his young skin as he creates one of the most iconic scenes in history. His scream rings in the whole house as his adulting bites him in the back.

5. Movie - Home Alone (1990)
Scene - Booby Traps
'Home Alone' wouldn't be Home Alone without Kevin's ingenious and elaborate booby traps he sets all around his house. We see the burglars try and enter the house but that's not happening anytime soon with the traps laid out. The dim-witted Marv finds the basement unlocked and enters the darkness. As he pulls the light string his face is greeted by an iron falling onto it with his pain making us laugh. Harry has a hard time walking to the due to the frozen floor but when he finally does reach the door, he gets a nasty burn from the hot doorknob. Marv, the poor guy is in for more pain as he walks up some stairs barefooted after losing his shoes to sticky tar. Walking up we see his foot get impaled by a nail as he takes a tumble again.
