Trump used N-word for her on 'The Apprentice', claims show star Holly Robinson Peete: 'Is that surprising?'

Actress Holly Robinson Peete has claimed that Donald Trump referred to her using the “N-word” while shooting ‘The Apprentice’ in 2010. At the time, Peete was the celebrity contestant at the reality show, where she lost the finale to musician Brett Michaels after raising $600,000 for her autism charity.

Speaking with SiriusXM, the 56-year-old said: “Shortly after the finale, rumors started going around that he had tossed out an n-word in referring to me. And I was like, ‘Huh?’ And then when the producer told me when it happened during the finale, I remember the moment. I wasn’t in earshot, but I could see them deciding between me and Bret Michaels. There was a moment where [Trump] was talking with producers and they’re really animated and that was when I heard that he said, ‘they want the n-word to win.’”

Peete said that though Trump was “kind of lovely” to her personally, she felt he was  “piggish and bullish” also, The Sun reported. The accusations from the ‘21 Jump Street’ actress came after another former 'The Apprentice' contestant, Tom Arnold, claimed the existence of a tape that has proof the president used the “N-word” on the television program. But the comedian said tape won’t be released publicly because Trump can then sue NBC for millions.

In a New Yorker profile of ‘The Apprentice’, the show’s producer Mark Burnett and two other unidentified sources refuted any such claims. But Peete said, “how could anybody believe that he wouldn’t say something like that? I firmly believe he probably uses that language all the time. And then by the time it sort of started resurfacing, I didn’t even really address it too much because I felt like, what difference is it going to make? People have accepted the things that he said that are so vile about so many other people, what difference is it going to make if he said that about me?”

Besides the offensive racial slur scandal, the ‘Hangin' with Mr Cooper’ star also shared her “unique” experience on the show years ago. Being a guest on SiriusXM Urban View’s 'The Karen Hunter Show', Peete recalled: “He hadn’t really quite started that whole birther thing yet. It was a very interesting experience. It was a trip and kind of messy and stuff. I found him to be kind of piggish and bullish and stuff, but I didn’t find him to be just this... who he is now. I did not see that. So, I think the combination of power and corruption and all that stuff just made him go to that next level.”

This comes months after POTUS’ niece Mary Trump whose tell-all family memoir 'Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man' released in July, said during an interview with Rachel Maddow of MSNBC in 'The Rachel Maddow Show' that her uncle used the N-word and anti-Semitic slurs. "And I don’t think that should surprise anybody, given how virulently racist he is today,” she added.
