Holly Piper: Amber alert issued for missing Tennessee girl, 16, believed to be with BF William Dylan Usry, 18
KNOXVILLE, TENNESSEE: The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued an Amber alert for missing East Tennessee girl Holly Piper. The TBI, in their official Twitter release, said, “Holly may be with 18 y/o William "Dylan" Usry.” Holly, 16, was last seen wearing blue sweatpants and a black hoodie. She is a White female with black hair and hazel eyes. She stands 5'7" tall and weighs about 124 lbs.
Holly came to Knoxville with her sister to visit a friend on February 18, 2023. According to the Knoxville Police Department, the missing girl “was last seen at the Cookout on Cumberland Ave at around 3 am. on February 19, 2023.” They believe she was picked up in a white 1999 Dodge Caravan with damage to the front bumper, roof rust, and the Tennessee license plate BMM5038. They further informed the car is registered in Usry's name and is a Ford Mustang.

Holly could be with her alleged boyfriend William "Dylan" an 18-year-old boy weighing 175 lbs and with a height of 6’2”. If anyone has any information regarding the duo’s whereabouts he or she is requested to call the Knoxville Police Department at 865.215.7165 or contact the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation at 1.800.TBI.FIND, reports Clarkesville Online.

Police further said that in order to avoid detection, the couple may be staying in large parking lots. They further propounded the theory that Piper and Usry may head towards Newton, Mississippi, to his father’s residence, reported 10News.
“Usry has an extensive criminal history to include DUI, multiple counts of aggravated assault, evading arrest, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony from an incident in Oak Ridge, Tennessee,” WSMV4 reported. A KPD spokesperson said, “Usry has a court date on those charges on March 2, and it is believed that he is actively fleeing to avoid his court date and that he has possibly coerced Holly into leaving against her will.”
The case of Holly Piper’s disappearance bears some resemblance to the case of the missing diasporic Indian teen in the US Tanvi Marupally. The 14-year-old Indian American teen has been missing for more than a fortnight, as reported by The NEWS Minute on February 4. Tanvi, who was brought up in America, was reportedly feeling despondent at the probable relocation to India as her father may have the misfortune of losing his job due to the multiple layoffs being carried out in this fiscal year. As per reports, instead of getting on the school bus she was supposed to board after her school, she continued to walk. She also left all her mobile devices back at home.
