'Holiday With The Houghs': Fans suspect Julianne of 'lip-syncing', slam costumes in her performance with Derek Houghs

One of Hollywood’s favorite and most-happening siblings Julianne and Derek Houghs came together for ‘Holidays With The Houghs’, which aired live on NBC tonight. The one-hour long show was star-studded one which included a powerful performance by Ciara who delivered a beautiful rendition of ‘Winter Wonderland’ and ‘Santa Claus is coming to Town’, Jordan Fisher and Julianne’s version of ‘All I want for Christmas is love’ and of course, Julianne and Derek’s ravishing choreography and strong vocals, but some of the viewers have a different say.
While some of the fans on social media said the classical winter special ‘lifted’ their spirits, the rest have mercilessly trolled the siblings for using the platform for their benefit calling their act ‘self-marketing’. A fan tweeted, “I stumbled across The Holidays With Houghs on NBC and sexual tension between these two siblings is intense.”
Although the duo put up amazing performances from the start until it concluded, those who noticed a few glitches called out the siblings for including lip-syncing, which fans feel was evident throughout.
“Does @juliannehough lip-sync every performance? Maybe it's just me, but there is no way that we wouldn't hear her breathing throughout while being tossed around on skates. Not sure what the hype is over her”, wrote a fan. Another added, “I love Julianne Hough, I do. But I believe that her last 3 or 4 performances on TV have been lip-synced, and I can’t wait to see her perform without dancing so we can hear her stellar voice live. Damn the girl can dance though! #HolidaysWithTheHoughs”
Some of the viewers went about attacking Julianne and Derek for an open display of sexism on the stage. “Wanna see American television's sexist double-standard at play, larger than life? This #HolidaysWithTheHoughs has her in the skimpiest outfit possible, while he's wearing a full suit and tie. Then come the back-up dancers? Same thing. Women showing skin, men covered head to toe.”
