Hilaria Baldwin reveals nickname of daughter born 6 months after son, says she is breastfeeding both the babies
Hilaria Baldwin took to Instagram to reveal that she is breastfeeding both her babies, Eduardo "Edu" Pao Lucas, whom she gave birth to in September 2020, and Maria Lucia Victoria, who was recently born via surrogate. Hilaria also shared pictures of the newborn daughter, whom she has nicknamed MariLu, marking two weeks with her.
Maria Lucia was born just six months after Hilaria gave birth to Eduardo Pao. Hilaria and her husband Alec Baldwin's other children are two-year-old Romeo Alejandro David, four-year-old Leonardo Ángel Charles, five-year-old Rafael Thomas, and seven-year-old Carmen Gabriela. Alec is also the father to his 25-year-old daughter Ireland. Ireland’s mother is actress Kim Basinger.

In a photo of Maria Lucia shared on Instagram, Hilaria wrote, "2 weeks of MariLu...she’s keeping us all in line." She also shared on her Instagram story about how her daughter, Carmen, wanted to help with her parenting duties during the week, writing, "The babies had me up much of the night." She continued, "Carmen came in to play with them 'so I could rest' a little more.'" She also wrote, "Of course I had to watch all of them, but I love that she is being so thoughtful."
In another selfie she shared via Instagram stories, Hilaria wrote, "This cow is tired and thirsty. Let me tell you something you might already know. Feeding two babies is no joke. I'm devouring any liquid I can get my hands on but this is my favorite," in reference to the drink she was holding in the picture.
Last week, Baldwin shared a picture of both Eduardo Pao and Maria Lucia, writing, "Our hearts are filled with so much gratitude. The Baldwinitos craved so much to have a little sister. Many of you may remember the loss of their sister at 4 months in the end of 2019. There isn’t a day that goes by where we don’t ache for our daughter. When I found out our baby had died, I told our children that their sister was going to come, just not at that time."
She continued, "Nothing will ever replace her, but two wonderful souls have come into our lives, and we are humbled to know them. Our children were brave during our time of tremendous grief — braver than us...and they held out hope. To experience and accept life’s ups and downs is challenging, but a reality that all of us have no choice but to receive and process. I have learned that often our children are wiser than we are and their wisdom has guided us."
She also wrote, "Our rainbow baby, Edu, is such a blessing — we are overwhelmed by how fortunate we are to have him. We are living each day, bonding, and grateful for all of the very special angels who helped bring Lucía into the world. María Lucía Victoria and Eduardo Pau Lucas: our babies who bring light into our lives — almost like twins, we love you so much."
In 2019, Hilaria suffered two miscarriages. After the second one in November 2019, she said, “We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months. We also want you to know that even though we are not ok right now, we will be. We are so lucky with our 4 healthy babies — and we will never lose sight of this."
