HGTV star Christina Hall slams ex Joshua Hall's comment amid messy divorce
ANAHEIM, CALIFORNIA: Christina Hall is responding to fresh allegations concerning her and her estranged husband Joshua Hall's divorce.
On July 26, the HGTV star posted a screenshot of a TMZ article on her Instagram Story. According to the article's headline, Joshua was left "blindsided and heartbroken" by their breakup.
Christina gave her version of events in a follow-up post. "Our sources say she stopped speaking to him after a disagreement and would only speak to him through an attorney."
Christina cited before writing, "Huh … I didn’t block him — and I didn’t see any missed calls or texts the next day. Which happened to be my birthday. Strange — No flowers, no card, no messages like ‘Hope you have a nice birthday’ 🧐."
She added, “Hmm … something’s not adding up here. But I’m down to keep playing ‘Christina Vs. The Victim’ as I love this game.”
In another mysterious Instagram post, Christina revealed the cover of a book called ‘It's Not You: Identifying and Healing from Narcissistic People’ - A probable dig at her ex.
Christina also called out the article's source, who said Joshua asked for the property manager's payment because "he handled all the bills for their rental properties, which they co-owned, and he needed to pay bills." She reminded fans that the property was purchased exclusively by her before meeting Joshua, and he certainly didn't "handle the bills."
When did Christina Hall and Joshua Hall file for divorce?
After less than three years of marriage, Christina officially filed for divorce from Joshua on July 15. She used the excuse of irreconcilable differences.
Christina's divorce documents stated their date of separation as July 7, but Joshua's divorce documents, filed on the same day, showed July 8.
Christina once again requested a dissolution of their marriage in fresh legal documents on July 23, in response to Joshua's divorce application, while their breakup is still ongoing.
After two days, Christina finally spoke out about the experience on her Instagram Story, "Over here waiting for the typical hired PR speech of ‘how I was blindsided and how I’m working on myself and taking time to heal at her ranch’ … Meanwhile, I’m over here not as nice and quiet as I used to be."
She continued, “I have worked my ass off to build this life for myself and my children and anyone who would try and take what they do not deserve/what they did NOT work for should be ashamed. An insecure man with a large ego can sure try and derail you — but still I rise.” Christina said to her audience as she wrapped up her message, "For those that aren’t aware … divorces do not happen overnight … & there is always a breaking point. This one is personal."
What does Christina Hall and Joshua Hall want from the divorce?
Christina is asking in her application for her last name to be changed back to Haack and for Joshua and her to not be eligible for spousal assistance.
Joshua is requesting spousal support from Christina, while she is requesting that the other pay their legal bills. In addition, Joshua wants equal rights to the TV series he and Christina co-wrote for HGTV and Discovery.
The ex-couple did not sign a prenup before getting married.
Why did Christina Hall and Joshua Hall split?
A source told Us Weekly in their most recent cover story that "Christina was trying, but things happened, and it just wasn’t working. Christina was done when she filed the papers. It’s hard, but she’s doing great."
