Henry Cavill's next acting stint REVEALED? 'Man of Steel' star attached to star in 'Warhammer 40,000' series for Amazon
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The entire internet had a meltdown on Thursday after it was revealed that Henry Cavill won’t be returning as Superman in the DC Universe after James Gunn announced that he is writing a new Superman movie that primarily focuses on the character’s earlier days as a superhero. This heartbreaking news came a few weeks after the actor announced that he was exiting ‘The Witcher’ and won’t be coming back to play Geralt of Rivia in Season 4. Despite such upsetting news, the actor seems to have already moved on and started working on his next acting stint which will undoubtedly make his fans really happy.
According to a report, the ‘Man of Steel’ star will be seen playing one of the pivotal characters in Amazon’s upcoming series ‘Warhammer 40,000’, which is based on the highly popular miniature wargame by Games Workshop. The game mentioned above is considered the biggest and most popular miniature wargame in the world and released its latest version in 2020.

Cavill is attached to star and executive produce the series as Amazon enters the finals round of talking for the game's rights, per The Hollywood Reporter. As of now, all the other information has been kept under wraps although it is being reported that Vertigo Entertainment will also be producing the show.
With its first edition released in 1987, ‘Warhammer 40,000’ has continued to be a force to be reckoned with in the gaming world. Set in the distant future, the human species is continuously troubled by hostile aliens and supernatural creatures. It is pretty similar to the renowned game ‘Dungeons & Dragons’ in which dice are involved to play. The game depicts a future where human scientific and social progress has ceased, and human civilization is in a state of total war with hostile alien races and occult forces.
It doesn’t come as a surprise that Cavill has been attached to star in a ‘Warhammer’ project because he is a fan of the miniature wargame. In February 2022, Games Workshop released a video on social media in which the superstar was seen enjoying his day at Warhammer World in the UK. On the other hand, in April 2022, he shared a short video of one of the characters of the game that he painted according to his choices of colors. He wrote that he “tried his hands” at numerous different paints and techniques before finally feeling that he was heading in the right direction.
If the deal is closed, Amazon would have a big responsibility to deliver a series that’s not just engaging, but massive in scale as well.
